Proposition of casting technology of aluminium manifolds cast by tilt method
Spáčil, Ivo ; Kaňa, Václav (referee) ; Roučka, Jaromír (advisor)
Description of the theoretical factors for casting into metal molds. For thin-walled castings it has turned out that the most advantageous method is tilt casting. Tilt casting reduces the turbulence of the melt and reaches a directed solidification. Two molds were tested and measured for the experiment. During measuring the temperature regime was established lower temperature of the pouring basin than the other parts of the mold, which could cause a many of defects. The verification of mold technology has been performed. To achieve the accuracy of the casting, it is necessary to respect the different shrinkage according to the shape of the casting.
Thermal and moisture regime of patterned ground in the High Tatras
Pechačová, Blanka ; Křížek, Marek (advisor) ; Engel, Zbyněk (referee)
6 ABSTRACT Thermal and moisture regime of patterned ground is closely associated with the presence of the regelation phenomenon. Generally, the regelation includes all processes leading to the water freeze-thaw alternations in soil or bedrock. As a result of cyclic freezing and thawing of soil water under specific conditions, processes, such a moisture migration, ice segregation or frost heaving, operate. Termal and moisture regime is the main factor of these processes and consequentely, of the patterned ground formation. The submited diploma thesis is concerned with thermal and moisture regime of patterned ground in the High Tatras. The main aims of the thesis was to characterize thermal and moisture regime of patterned ground, to evaluate and confront the patterned ground regelation activity depending on the diverse soil depths and different types of the patterned ground and to evaluate the soil temperature relationship to the air temperatures, soil moisture content and the water level regime of the nearest lakes. The partial purpose of the thesis was to assess the applicability of different methods of the regelation cycle determination based on the soil temperature measurements. During the study period 2007 - 2012 the regelation activity of sorted paterned ground (Hincove oká, Lúčne sedlo and Skalnaté...

Thermal regime of moraine cover in the Adygene valley, Kyrgyz Range
Martinásková, Daša ; Engel, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Uxa, Tomáš (referee)
The focus of this bachelor thesis is the thermal regime of the morain covering in the valley of river Adygine in Kyrgyz Range area in the northern Tien-Shan. The intention of this thesis is to evaluate the temperature measurements from the glacis zone of the Adygine glacier and to explicate the results with regards to the continuance of recent permanent snow line and permafrost area. In the area of interest, with altitude 3498 to 3659 m, two air temperature sensor and five thermistors with MINIKIN dataloggers were installed. The thermistors measure temperature in 15 and 30 cm depths below the surface of glacial accumulations. The surface layer of morains melts annually for three or five months, mean annuall ground temperature did not drop below -2řC and area of measurements is distinguished with weak freeze-thaw activity. The mean annual air temperature in year 2011 was -4,5 in 3653 m and -6,1řC in 3913 m altitude respectively. The comparsion of measured data with publicated average permafrost temperature data in nearby ranges of Tan-San mountains suggests, that area of interest is located in discontinuous mountain permafrost area. Zero isothermic line is located in approximately 2900m altitude. This is lower than the mountain permafrost level and so the base of glaciál forefront can be denoted as...
