TITLE: The influence of technology on the children's free time development AUTHOR: Ivana Kalinová DEPARTMENT: Department of information technology and education SUPERVISOR: Ing. Bořivoj Brdička, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This bachelor's thesis "The influence of technology on the children's leisure time development" deals with the influence of information and communication technologies on the way of spending leisure time of children and youth. The work includes a comparison of several studies dealing with this issue. The thesis is also considering potential impact of ICT on the development of children, particularly in connection with playing computer games and engaging in social networking. The practical part contains survey conducted in primary school children aged 7-15 years followed by interpretation of results. The conclusion contains recommendations for minimizing the risks for children that information and communication technologies may represent.
