Possibilities of Forming Limits Determination
Gímeš, Martin ; Svoboda, Petr (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes selected technological tests for evaluating formability. The thesis is divided into two main parts, which deals with the evaluation of sheet and bulk formability of materials. Based on a literature review, the thesis presents the factors influencing the formability and material plasticity. Furthermore, it discusses the principles of selected tests. Subsequently, it addresses the conditions and procedures set by standards and the necessity to adhere to them. Possible test specimens and their modifications are considered. The number of repeated tests, and possibly the evaluation of suitability or unsuitability of deformed samples for formability assessment, are discussed. Methods of evaluation for individual tests are outlined. The thesis presents experimental results for each test with descriptions of the test specimens and materials used, obtained from practical sources.
Cutting materials of sintered Carbides end their heat Resistance
Doležalová, Petra ; Bumbálek, Bohumil (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
One of the fundamental properties of cemented carbides is their resistance to forming and spreading cracks under the thermal stress. The bachelor’s thesis is focused on description of known technological methods that are used for testing of thermal fatigue of materials made by cemented carbides. Part of the bachelor’s thesis is also the description of the thermal fatigue, characterization of the appearance and orientation of cracks that occur in cemented carbides, according to the distribution of the thermal field. Last but not least, the bachelor’s thesis contains the information concerning the problematic of cemented carbides and about their constituents, technology of production and their application.
