Ego-dystonic Anger Attacks in Mothers of Young Children

Anger in the context of motherhood is still an insufficiently discussed and underresearched topic. The theoretical part of this thesis summarizes knowledge from the domains of anger, and in particular its sudden ego-dystonic attacks, stress, and psychosocial needs, or more precisely motivational goals and schemata, which lead to their satisfaction or prevent their frustration, and in the context of motherhood seeks potential causes of anger and highlights its consequences. The empirical part of this thesis is based on quantitative research design, namely an online administered cross-sectional study, for which four inventories - Anger Attacks Questionnaire (AAQ), Rage Attacks Questionnaire (RAQ-R), Inventory of Approach and Avoidance Motivation (FAMOS), and Incongruence Questionnaire (INK) - were localized into the Czech setting. Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) was the last instrument used in this study. The research sample consisted of 257 adult women with an only child of up to 36 months of age and the study looked into the differences in subjective experience of mothers with anger attacks (N = 138) and without anger attacks (N = 119) with regard to the last three months. Self-regulation and Its Role in Socialization: Meditation Practice as a Means of Emotional and Behavioral Self-regulation

This bachelor thesis investigates the possibilities for development of self-regulation by means of meditation practice. Its literary review part deals with self-regulation and self-control as variously defined mechanisms of one own's regulation of thoughts, emotions, and behavior and their role in one's capability to manage their actions and accept social norms throughout a life- long socialization process. It also briefly describes various forms, causes and consequences of failure in the socialization as well as the self-regulation domain. Further on, it discusses the mechanisms of meditation practice and its effects - particularly on the development of self- regulatory skills and concludes with a presentation of existing experience from this area of research in penitentiary practice. The empirical part proposes an experimental study of the effect of an intensive 10-day standardized meditation course of the vipassana technique as taught by S. Evidence-based Approaches to Character Education

This thesis looks into evidence-based character education as it is researched and applied in the Anglo-Saxon countries, particularly in the United States and the United Kingdom, as a parallel to Personal and Social Education in the Czech Republic. Its aim is to provide an overview of scientifically studied approaches to the development of human character, inclusive of efficient means of their dissemination. The first part of the thesis includes definition of terms, philosophical and historical foundations of character education, description and classification of character strengths, and their effects on human flourishing. Based on analysis of available sources, the next part of the thesis presents empirically tested examples of best practices being applied in families, schools, and other organizations. It is followed by a part describing certain problems which character education is currently facing and finally a summary of possible solutions. It becomes apparent that character needs to be approached in its entirety with focus aimed toward harmonious development of a wide range of character strengths. Who are environmental journalists?

(english) The thesis deals with the environmental journalist, I use gatekeeper concept. The aim is to identify working routines and relationship with environmental and nature. In the first part, I complicate the theoretical basis. I first concerned with social constructionism of issue, media communication and key terms in media and environment. In empirical part is used the qualitative research strategy - an analysis of interviews with environmental journalists from news journals, weekly magazines and websites and analysis of information sources. I described relationship, opinions and values of environmental journalists to environment and nature. I identified the working routines and I completed it by the analysis of information sources. Important information sources are expert, non governance organization, states institutions in the environmental area. Experts and states institutions are primary defining. This research confirmed authority orientation of news. Journalists feel the autonomy in selection of topic, but I recorded pressures and controls from the media organizations. Journalists have a close relationship to nature and the environment, its protection is seen as important. Conservation lies in the modesty and sustainability.
Prenatal, natal and postnatal care issues with a focus on Vietnamese women

The thesis is focused on issues concerning prenatal, natal and postnatal medical care, which is being provided to Vietnamese women. The core subject of the research is defined as "How do the Vietnamese women reflect upon or respond to health care which is ordinarily provided to them during the pregnancy and labor period as well as the postnatal stage in the Czech republic?" The objective was not just to find out how do the Vietnamese women reflect upon their experience with the care they receive, but also to investigate factors, which could have an effect on their perception and experience. The body of the thesis is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part is devoted to a brief description of the background of the Vietnamese women, including their culture, traditions and the health care system. Different traditions associated with the pregnancy, labor, and postnatal period are described in a separate chapter. It should be noted that findings gathered from expert literature have been enriched with information which comes directly from the author's own research. Primary school integration of the handicapped child

Petra Doležalová Abstract The diploma dissertation is focused on an integration a handicapped child into the conventional elementary school class. There is a theoretical part concerning an integration problem in my dissertation. It specifies conditions which determin integration from the viewpoint of legislative, economic, pedagogical, psychological, family and public conditions. The practical part is focused on a specific case of integration. The results are from the three years of observation and evaluation the results. The results were found with the aid of questionnairies, interview-based assesments and documents analyses. There are summarized all found researches in the conclusion of the diploma dissertation. There are also described positives and negatives of integration for all participated persons. Coating properties of cutting tools carbide

Diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is focused on theoretical description of coating methods, on currently used coatings, their properties and it is also focused on description of methods, which are used for analyzing each property. The second part focuses on testing of coatings and analyzing of the values obtained from experiments. The aim of this thesis is then to compare the properties of the tested coatings.
Cutting materials of sintered Carbides end their heat Resistance

One of the fundamental properties of cemented carbides is their resistance to forming and spreading cracks under the thermal stress. The bachelor’s thesis is focused on description of known technological methods that are used for testing of thermal fatigue of materials made by cemented carbides. Part of the bachelor’s thesis is also the description of the thermal fatigue, characterization of the appearance and orientation of cracks that occur in cemented carbides, according to the distribution of the thermal field. Last but not least, the bachelor’s thesis contains the information concerning the problematic of cemented carbides and about their constituents, technology of production and their application.
