The diploma thesis deals with the creation of a design for a new building of the center of contemporary art and architecture and the use of existing reservoirs on Yellow Hill in Brno with the possibility of changing their original function. The work deals with the possibilities of processing the original terrain and the connection of the proposed new buildings to existing reservoirs. Architecturally, it explores the possibilities of designing new buildings contextually with the current architectural expression of the surrounding buildings and past architecture. The current situation is that a beautiful architectural and engineering monument, such as the reservoirs on Yellow Hill, is practically closed to the eyes of ordinary people. Only one of the three reservoirs is open to visit - the oldest brick reservoir built in 1872. The main goal of my work was therefore to make the reservoir area accessible to the public and to give people the opportunity to visit all three reservoirs. To this end, it was necessary to design entrance pavilions and safe entrances to the reservoirs and to fill the reservoirs with a new function, because the reservoirs were terminated in 1997, when they were disconnected from the water supply network.

Outlines the options are and what support may be listed structures by the State of the European Union and by various endowment funds for recovery and subsequent use for the future and future generations. The diploma thesis deals with the possible use of now defunct reservoirs on the Yellow Hill. This water supply complex consists of three underground reservoirs and a technical house. The area is spread over a large plot of land overgrown with wild vegetation in the middle of a residential area. The set of underground reservoirs, covered by a system of arches supported by pillars, represents a unique architectural and technical monument. The aim of the proposal is to make the reservoir area accessible to the public through new functions while preserving their historical value. The main motive of the concept is an interactive water museum built in the youngest reinforced concrete reservoir. The exhibition deals, among other things, with a very current topic of sustainable water management. The complex is complemented by a new visitor center, which will make it possible to access the reservoirs through a new entrance to the underground. The existing unmaintained area of greenery will be transformed into a public park independent of the operation of reservoirs.

Technical monuments in the region and their use in teaching at first grade of primary schools

This thesis deals with the topic of "Technical monuments in the region and their use in teaching at first grade of primary schools". In theoretical part there are defined terms "technical literacy" and "technical monument" with a focus on the activating teaching methods which are used at primary schools in accordance with FEP BE. A large part is devoted to project teaching and excursion, which plays the key role in the thesis. The technical monument are also described here, the Jihlava underground, the Windmill in Třebíč, the Museum of Crafts in Moravské Budějovice and the Raywail line Moravské Budějovice - Jemnice. The practical part contains project proposals which parts are the excursion and the worksheets. The aim of this thesis is to realize proposed excursions and their evaluation.

The Technical Monuments in Jindřichův Hradec Region And How to Use Them in Primary School Education

The thesis focuses on technical monuments of the region Jindřichohradecko and their application in teaching at primary schools. The theoretical part characterizes technical monuments, their standard classification and protection in the Czech Republic. The next part deals with technical education, technical literacy and its status at primary schools. It is followed by a description of The Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education in the area Humans and Their World and Humans and the World of Work. This part focuses on the process of education, teaching, learning, the structure of education, educational methods, organizational forms and didactic means. There are presented excursions, their phases and subsequent application in teaching. The practical part of the thesis presents educational topics excursions, they are equipped with aids and verified in teaching at primary schools. The appendix contains work sheets, maps and photographs. It also includes a short video.

This diploma thesis is focuses on using technical monuments in České Budějovice region in primary school education. The theoretical part mentions the main principals, aims and the possibilities of using of project teaching methods in primary school. This thesis also deals with the technical education and the acquiring of the primary technical literacy. The final part of theoretical part describes technical monuments which were used in processed projects. The practical part of this thesis present 7 projects, which can be used in primary education. The part of thesis is also the evaluation of the research among teachers about the effectiveness of projects.

The Technical Monuments in Týn nad Vltavou Region And How to Use Them in Primary School Education

This master thesis focuses on technical monuments in Tyn nad Vltavou region and their use in primary school education. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the technical education and the excursion method and their use at primary school. It also deals with the characteristics of technical monuments, their categorization and the ways of their preservation. The end of the theoretical part focuses on the description of selected technical monuments in Tyn nad Vltavou region. The practical part of the thesis introduces seven proposed excursions to selected technical monuments, which are intended for pupils of the first grade of primary school. The effectivity of the proposed excursions is verified at the end of the practical part by a survey research.

The Technical Monuments in Český Krumlov Region And How to Use Them in Primary School Education

This diploma thesis focuses on using the technical monuments in Český Krumlov region in primary school education. The main principles of project teaching method in primary school are mentioned in the theoretical part. The practical part is based on these principles. This thesis also deals with the technical education which is used in the projects themselves and which result is gaining the principal technical literacy of students in primary schools. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with ten technical monumets in Český Krumlov region which were used in the projects. The practical part of this thesis contains ten projects which were realized during the education process in the primary school. These projects were carried out in various classes according to the students´ ages and skills. The important part of this thesis is also the evaluation of the research carried out among the teachers who realized the projects in all classes in the primary school.
