The role of a social worker in the protection of human rights
REMEŠOVÁ, Lenka
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out the role of a social worker defending human rights from the perspective of a team leader, and from the perspective of social workers. I am going to compare the differences between the team leader and social workers´ perspectives. I am also going to find out how the social worker's role changes within the context of the provided service. This bachelor thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part there are laws protecting human rights, an explanation of the term "role" from a social work's prospective, and also a definition of the term "social work" and basic terms connected with it. In the practical part of the bachelor thesis I have chosen qualitative research. I collected the data via a half-structured interview with 4 bosses of organisations providing social services and with 6 social workers from these facilities. The different amounts are caused by the fact that in some of the facilities I interviewed only social workers because the leaders were busy. One of the leaders work also like social worker, but in the research, he is considered like a leader. I also decided to talk to workers providing the service of social care, prevention and consulting. In the conclusion not only the difference of a social worker and team leader's and between social workers perspective of human rights will be visible, but also differences in various social services. The results have shown that the social worker is allowed to take many roles and is on the edge between helping and controlling the clients while protecting human rights. These roles were different in other social services and the emphasis at the importance of specific human rights was different as well. The conformity was proved by the social workers and team leaders from identical services. The results of my work may be useful for the public expansion of knowledge of human rights problematic in social work. It can show variety of provided social services in the Czech Republic as well. It can provide view on the role of the social worker while protecting human rights in the context of different types and forms of provided social services to professional public.

The Motivation Funciton of Educational Team Leaders
BLAŽEK, Petr
The thesis compares and synthesises the views of authors of scholarly publications on a function of a pedagogical team leader as a motivator of team activities. Recommendations to the team leader in motivating his team are further drawn from these views. The thesis is divided into three main chapters, while the first chapter defines a team, emphasises its characteristic features, brings the synergy effect in a team into focus and defines features of a successful team. The second chapter deals with a team leader and leadership styles which may be chosen for his work. The third chapter focuses on motivating workers; it particularly defines terms as a motivator, motivation and demotivation. The chapter points to motivation sources, especially human needs, and it also places emphasis on power motivation of a team.

In the first part of my thesis I have concentrated on the theme of communication in general, on the problem of communication in organization and upon the role of management in finding the solutions to these communication problems. The next part of this thesis is focused upon the theme of work teams, specifically the problem with their formation, the importance of team roles and also about the barriers which are encounter by the operation of these teams. The practical part of my thesis is deals with the company ESSOX s.r.o.. The object of interviews, that have occured there, was to do some subjective evaluation of the level of communication within this company and consider if this company works really in teams. The resulting outcome of this investigation is that this company has some major communication problems. These deficiencies don{\crq}t have any specific relevant character. In other words, it means that this company turns to the matter of team work. My recommendations have been given at the end of this thesis. That mission is to give instructions as to how to make the team work more effectively.
