Methodical procedures and comparison of various techniques of taping in the area of the knee joint
SYROVÁTKA, Tomáš
This bachelor thesis has theoretical and didactic character and it concerns with methodical procedures of taping in the area of a knee joint. Analytical part was made on basis of analysis of scientific literature, and it contains detail description of anatomy, kinesiology, and the most frequent injuries of the knee joint. In the thesis there is also described method of taping itself, division of the taping tapes on flex and stiff tapes. Next there are described concrete methods of taping, functionality, and principles of correct taping. Crucial part of this thesis is synthetic part. There are described and compared methodical procedures of taping in a knee joint. Compared methods were complete stabilization, lateral ligaments, patella and taping of injured ACL. Part of the synthetic part is photodocumentary of the procedures with stiff and flex tapes with detail description of the procedures. There is also comparison of the taping methods. The final result could serve as a tool for sport trainers or individuals, who are devoted to regeneration or to sport itself.

Patellofemoral pain syndrome and its affection by patellar taping
Krajíček, Tomáš ; Truc, Michal (advisor) ; Teyssler, Petr (referee)
Diploma thesis "Patellofemoral pain syndrome and its affection by patellar taping" consists of two parts. The first general part summarises all present knowledge in the field of classification, diagnostics and therapy of this syndrome. The experimental part investigates a partial area of conservative therapy and a patellar taping technique according to McConnell. With the use of EMG records of a group of patients with patellofemoral pain syndrome it assesses the immediate effect of patellar taping on the pain intesity and timing of m. vastus medialis obliquus to m. vastus lateralis throughout three different movements. Prevention of ankle injury in basketball is by using taping of the Mulligan concept
Jarešová, Kristýna ; Satrapová, Lenka (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Title: Prevention of ankle injury in basketball is by using taping of the Mulligan concept Objectives: The aim of this study is to verify the effectiveness of the tape ankle joint by Mulligan Concept to prevent injury to the area and see whether this kind of tape has a positive effect on the stability of the ankle joint. Methods: The essence of this study was to record the ankle joint injury for the female players during a basketball session after the application tape was used on the ankle joint by the concept of Mulligan. The experiment was carried out before each training (3 times a week) during two months of research and was attended by 10 probands aged 17-35 years who have a history of ankle injury. Part of this study were also two types of questionnaires (input and output) and examination of the standing on one leg before and after treatment of the ankle joint Mulligan tape. Results: When testing the stability of a previously injured ankle joint it was found that all the players had improved stability of the ankle joint by the use of the Mulligan tape at least one level. In the subjective evaluation of standing on one leg all players have confirmed the findings of fact and stated that the ankle joint by the use of Mulligan tape that feels more stable than if the absence of the treatment....
Usage of non-stretch and elastic adhesive tapes in physiotherapy
Bezděková, Anna ; Jeníček, Jakub (advisor) ; Táborská, Silvie (referee)
Name: Anna Bezděková Supervisor: Mgr. Jakub Jeníček Opponent of the thesis: Name of the thesis: Usage of rigid and elastic tejps in physiotherapy Abstrakt bakalářské práce: This research thesis is focused on usage of rigid and elastic tapes in physiotherapy. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes particular methods of application of these tapes so-called taping and kinesiotaping. There are different thoughts and opinions of Czech and foreign authors on each one of the taping methods. In the practical part, there are two interviews with Bc. Clara Marie Helena Lewitt and PhDr. Ingrid Palaščáková Špringrová, Ph.D. which both considerably contributed to the development of taping in Czech Republic. The conclusion contains brief manual to be used by physiotherapist, doctors, massage therapist and other non medical professions. The manual describes six possible ways of application with rigid or elastic tapes in hallux valgus diagnosis and contains exact photo documentation of each step of the procedures. Key words: tape, taping, kinesiotaping, hallux valgus, rigid tapes, elastic tapes
Critical evaluation of taping methods with focus on its effects
Šolcová, Veronika ; Pánek, David (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Title: Critical evaluation of taping methods with focus on its effects. Objectives: Purpose of this diploma thesis is critical evaluation of taping methods with concentration on its effects. Evaluation, comparison of contradictory statements and obtained information will be done based on a study and analysis of literature and scientific studies regarding taping methods and its efficiencies. On this base, final conclusions about real efficiency of taping will be made. Methods: In this diploma thesis, which is a critical review, document studies method will be used, along with analysis of professional scientific sources and their comparison. Results: The sport tapes (solid and elastic) and the kinesio tapes may participate on the possible mechanisms of the taping method effect. The various kinds of the tapes are different in the consequences of its effects. For lack of good scientific studies we can not clearly objectify the method of the taping. Keywords: taping, taping methods, taping efficiency, knesio taping, benefits of taping, prevention, critical review, proprioception, scars.

Effect of kinesiotape on range of motion in the flexion of the trunk measured from standing position
Musilová, Markéta ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Malá, Jitka (referee)
The title of the diploma's thesis: Effect of kinesiotape on range of motion in the flexion of the trunk measured from standing position. Objective/ Aim: The main aim of this work is to evaluate whether the kinesiotape applied to the paravertebral muscles of the lumbar spine affect the range of motion in trunk flexion from standing position. Another aim is to exclude the possibility of a placebo effect by using control material in an identical manner. Methods: The data required for the practical part of this work were obtained on the basis of experimental measurements, where the kinesiotape was applied to the paravertebral muscles of the lumbar spine and it evaluated the change in range of motions in trunk flexion from standing position. The measurements were taken on the basis of the Thomayer and Schober sign. The controll group was measured in a similar way with a material fixomull, which has similar attributes as kinesiotape. Data were analyzed using MS Excel and in a program Gretl. Results: Stastically significant results showing that kinesiotape affects the increase in the trunk flexion motion with the average value of 2,24 cm (t(24) = 2,86, p <0,05) in total and 0,51 cm (t(24) = 0,67, p <0,05) for local effect in the place of use of kinesiotape. Measurement with fixomull hasn't shown...
