Child Abuse and Neglect

The theme of my bachelor´s thesis is the mistreatment, abuse, and neglect of children. The aim of my thesis will be to focus on how to relate the CAN syndrome to the general public, as well as exploring and documenting the attitudes and opinions about this syndrome. In the theoretical part of my thesis, I will explain and detail the characteristic signs of the CAN syndrome, which can but is not limited to: types of abuse, neglect, causes and consequences of violence to children, victim and perpetrator characteristics, and the prevention and treatment of the CAN syndrome. The practical part of my thesis will consist of the evaluated results of a general survey which will contain research questions, and will be presented to the participants in the town Příbram.

Awareness of students in secondary schools in Trebon of physical violence against children.

The theme of this work is the awareness of secondary school in Trebon of physical violence against children. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with the issue of physical violence against children within the CAN syndrome, an explanation of the concept of CAN syndrome, legal protection and assistance to children, providing information through primary and secondary prevention. The practical part consists of custom research. The investigation was carried out by anonymous questionnaires, which are trying to find out whether the students are the second stage of two elementary schools in Trebon informed about the physical abuse of children.

Questions of Domestic Violence (in South Bohemia)

In my work I devote on subject of domestic violence. The theoretic part describes a particular group of victims, like women, men, children, seniors and people with mental or physical indisposition. Thereinafter there are also mentioned type sof organisations, which helps victims of domestic violence, first of all Eva service in České Budějovice, White ring of safety and DONA extension. The pieces of theoretic part are stastistical tables featuring the numer of crimes in South Bohemia in the years 2005 {--} 2007. From particular table is possible to reproach the precise count of victims and criminals and not lest numer of imposed punishments. All data are get from the Regional State Council in České Budějovice, Regional Court in České Budějovice and Ministry of internal affairs the Czech Republic.
