Postavení ekologických zemědělských podniků v podmínkách ČR
Vošmerová, Denisa
This thesis is about the position of organic farms in the Czech Republic's conditions. The results are compared with conventional farms. Sets of surveyed farms are classified into three categories due to the region where they are farming (mountain ANC, other ANC, and areas outside of ANC). This thesis aimed to answer the questions which arose from literature research. These questions are written in the chapter Aim of the thesis. At-tention was paid to agricultural production and financial indicators. And also, the subsi-dies and their effect on the farm's economic situation had attention. It was evaluated by the share of an operating subsidies on net added value. The net added value was also used to calculate the farm's economic viability. In the end, there is environmental strain caused by farming which was also evaluated. Based on a comparison of selected costs. As a main database was used Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN). One of the main findings is differences in the intensity of agricultural production. In terms of different types of farming (organic and conventional) and also in terms of ANC. The composition of agricultural production was also considered. Animal production is more in ANC com-pared to crop production which is more in areas outside of ANC. And also, the farm's dependency on operating subsidies was confirmed. While organic farms are more de-pendent on these subsidies than conventional farms. Due to the characteristics of organic farming, the expected results of environmental strain were confirmed. Organic farming caused lower environmental strain than conventional farms.
Agro-environmentální audit krajiny v měřítku konkrétního zemědělského podniku
Klevetová, Eliška
The solution of my bachelor thesis reflects the societal need to reduce the impact of agricultural activities on the environment in the long term based on the principle of prevention. I follow the form of quantitative and qualitative analysis of the farm life cycle, including landscape contexts, primarily through analytical evaluation to the final design of farm management solutions. The main interest of my work is to create the conditions for transferring these outputs into planning practices to raise awareness regarding the use of landscape in the context of responsible agriculture. In the first part of the thesis, I focus on the development of a methodological procedure for assessing the impact of agricultural management on the landscape, based on which I propose optimization measures to promote ecosystem services and quality of production. The landscape audit itself is based on a detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis of the current state of farm management in terms of environmental inputs and outputs. The analytical-synthetic evaluation results in the second part of the work, which is the determination of the environmental profile of the farm and the determination of ways of solving the problematic areas in farming. The third part of the thesis is the actual proposal for optimization of the management in terms of inputs used, protection of natural resources, and optimization of the landscape structure.
The yield parameters and weed infestation of proso millet in the
DVOŘÁK, Vojtěch
Systems of intercropping represent one of the ways of biotic intensification in plant production. The aim of the work was to determine the effect of false flax (Camelina sativa) as the intercropped with millet (Panicium millet) on the occurrence of weeds in the stand and to determine the optimal density of false flax from the point of view of achieving a high yield of millet grain. The fallow was sown in the millet stand at densities of 100, 150, 200 and 250 plants/m2 in two sowing dates, and the weeding of the stand, the beginning of millet flowering, the height of the plants, the yield of fresh biomass and the yield of millet grain were monitored. On the basis of the obta-ined results, false flax can be recommended for intercroping with common millet.
Využitelnost permakulturních zahrad v rámci reforestace kantonu Gualaquiza, Ekvádor
Šrubařová, Michaela
This diploma thesis presents principles of creating permaculture gardens with consideration of specific conditions of tropical rain forest in the canton Gualaquiza, Ecuador. The aim of this thesis was to create a project proposal for a permaculture garden in a form corresponding to the requirements of the selection procedure for a small local project. The theoretical part discusses alternative ways and possibilities of agriculture. The following are the possibilities of involvement in development cooperation in the conditions of the Czech Republic. Based on the development call, a complete project was created for the creation of a permaculture garden on the fields owned by the non-profit organization Bosque Medicinal. At the end of the thesis, there are discussed opportunities for project development in the future. The conclusion is also available in English and Spanish.

Soldánová, Lucie ; Vojáček, Jan (advisor) ; Slimáková, Margit (referee)
v angličtině k bakalářské práci na téma "Srovnání českých a zahraničních superpotravin" ,Lucie Soldánová, Karlova Univerzita, 1. lékařská fakulta, obor Nutriční terapeut. This bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of superfoods and aims to discover how our crops differ from those from abroad. The work consists of a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part of my thesis, I firstly analyze five most well known foreign (avocado, soy, goji, chia seeds and quinoa) and Czech (various seeds, poppy seeds, walnuts, blueberries and vegetable juices) superfoods. Then I compare them on four levels- a nutritional, economical, ecological and ethical one. In the practical part I asked several questions related to the problematics of superfoods and with the use of sent out questionnaires investigated whether people know superfoods, what is their opinion on them, if they buy them and whether they think about their origin and deeper problematics of the import of exotic crops. I discovered that more than 75 percent of those questioned are aware of superfoods. Whole 40 percent of people were somewhat sceptical of these foods and only 18,5 percent expressed full trust in them. Almost 73 percent of respondents buy superfoods at least once a week, which reflects their more frequent consumption, while the...
Erosion threat of landscape in the context of sustainable agricultural system
SIMANDLOVÁ, Veronika
Currently there is about 54% of agricultural land at risk of water erosion. A prerequisite for sustainable agricultural development is the implementation of soil protection. Erosion control measures represent a set of measures that, in addition the priority function of reducing the losses of the soil, significantly affect the water conditions in the countryside. The topic of my thesis is the erosion threat of landscape in the context of sustainable agricultural system. The first part focuses on the literature search related to sustainable agriculture, soil erosion problems and possibilities of protection ALR (Agricultural Land Resources). The practical part is concerned with a particular territory in which comprehensive landscaping erosion control measures have been taken. The aim was to assess the condition of the above mentioned area before and after the implementation of measures. Furthermore, individual parameters were evaluated, as well as the types and localization of erosion control features in the area of interest, comparing them with the project documentation and a plan of joint facilities.
Influence of crop rotations on the economy of the company
BŘEZINA, Michal
The main aim of this diploma work was to prove the necessity of crop rotations in dependence on economical and ecological angle. The survey was made by two agricultural entities during years 2003 {--} 2008. A comparison of crops yield was made concerning six plants (winter wheat, spring barley, oat, potato, winter rape and silage corn. The first company grows plants only in short-period sequence and the second one rotates plants in settled crop rotation. Higher crops were demonstrably confirmed in a company, which rotates the plants patterns. The analysis was performed by the second company. In this analysis was made a revision of soil fund and structure of cultivated plants. On the basis of gained findings was offered the most suitable crop rotation which could be practically used.
