Life on the Streets for Homeless People Aged 18 to 26 in the Capital City of Prague

This thesis primarily aids at describing the living conditions of homeless people aged 18 to 26 in the capital city of Prague. The opening section revolves around various definitions and typologies of homelessness on a broad level. Next, the social services are described. The third part is devoted to the subculture of young homeless people, with an emphasis on the crisis of adolescent development and the influence of primary social groups. The concluding part of this thesis puts homelessness among youth in to perspective and discusses potential strategies for satisfying the basic life needs of this group of people.
