Finite Element Limit Analysis method for stability evaluation of geotechnical structures
Juračka, Petr ; Koudela, Pavel (referee) ; Chalmovský, Juraj (advisor)
The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. For the practical part it was necessary to state the theoretical assumptions including the definition of the external degree of stability. Furthermore, the principles of limit analysis and its combination with the finite element method. In the same essence, the method of shear strength reduction. At its conclusion, it was necessary to introduce the issue of associated and non-associated plasticity in numerical stability calculations. Then it moved to the practical part, where the sequence and methodology of performing the comparative calculations were presented, which were selected as the so-called benchmark problems for the thesis. In the next chapter, the results of the individual examples were already presented with their subsequent analysis. Finally, the application of the FELA method was shown on a real boundary problem, namely on an earthfill dam within the Vlachovice dam project.
The Design of Deep Cut Securing
Štainerová, Lenka ; Boštík, Jiří (referee) ; Glisníková, Věra (advisor)
The aim is to design economical and above all safe securing a deep notch, both in the construction phase and throughout the use of the building. In the first part of the thesis Background research will be given an idea of the construction of the geotechnical point of view. The second part will contain the geotechnical design calculation. The third part will be proposed safety recommendations in terms of geotechnical monitoring.
Parametric study of behavior of the structure of the wine cellar
Hajn, Jakub ; Janků, Hynek (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
In traditional wine village Bořetice recently occurred to serious disturbances on structures of wine cellars. These failures were caused by, among other things, changes in the properties of the rock environment. This work focuses on the implementation of parametric studies in terms of changing the properties of rock (soil) from the viewpoint of structural arrangement of the wine cellar.
Factors affecting Slope Stability
Slováková, Kristýna ; Glisníková, Věra (referee) ; Boštík, Jiří (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor´s thesis entitled „Factors Affecting Slope Stability is a summary of the causes of the slope movements. This thesis presents the classification of the landslides and it describes the methods for the solving the slope stability and it nemtions the possibilities of the remediation. In the practical pasrt, the gained knowledge and abilities are using for a solution of the landslide in Kyjov-Netčice.
A comparison of analytical methods for slope stability analysis
Líšková, Ivana ; Glisníková, Věra (referee) ; Džaferagič, Mirnela (advisor)
Main goal of this bachelor´s thesis is to compare analytical methods for calculation of slope stability. This work is analyzing safety level for model slope by using calculation software GEO5 and also without using a software. Analysis is realized by using different methods. Output of the work is comparison of results of safety factor.
Numerical Patterns for Evaluation of the Stability Slope
Ekr, Jan ; Kytýr,, Jiří (referee) ; Gratza, Roman (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with numerical patterns for evaluation of the stability slopes. Solutions have been made with finite element method for different design situations with using programme system ANSYS. The results were compared with conventional approaches determining of the slope safety factor.
Numerical analysis of stability of retaining structure in cohesive soils
Fejfarová, Aneta ; Račanský, Václav (referee) ; Chalmovský, Juraj (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with numerical modeling of excavation using finite element method in the Plaxis 2D software. Triple-anchored retaining structure is founded in a less permeable cohesive soils. There are described loss of stability, types of the calculation and material model (Hardenig soil model used in the mathematical model) in the theoretical section of this bachelor thesis. Mathematical model of the excavation was described in the practical section of this thesis, specifically first limit state. Part of the thesis is an evaluation of the degree of stability over time, pore pressures and critical shear surfaces.
The Design of Nedašova Lhota Landslide Securing
Janík, Michal ; Polášková, Alena (referee) ; Glisníková, Věra (advisor)
The thesis called The Design of Nedašova Lhota Landslide Securing concentrates on the basic analysis of the problems connected with landslides and safety factors needed for the slopes stability. At the same time it presents a concrete solution to the given practical task, where the slope stability, the causes leading to the landslide and the subsequent redevelopment in view of financial requirements are discussed.
Remediation of Landslide on the Road II/492, Luhačovice
Malá, Markéta ; Horák, Vladislav (referee) ; Glisníková, Věra (advisor)
Bachelor thesis called Remediation of landslide on the road II/492, Luhačovice deals with the distribution and description of the types of landslides, methods of their solutions and ways to secure further landslides. One part of this thesis are practical solutions of remediation landslide with anchored pile wall.
Stability analysis of landslide area
Píchová, Sylvie ; Erbenová, Alexandra (referee) ; Paseka, Antonín (advisor)
In the bachelor thesis is shown Zaruba & Mencl classification of landslide, site investigations and methods of static calculations using limit state equilibrium method. In the thesis is solved recent landslide in the profile II-II of site VIII in Brno Bystrc in Czech Republic.  In the paper work is explained how is made engineering geology and hydrogeology site investigation. Stability of recent landslide is made using back analysis of friction angle on the shear band in equilibrium state (FS=1)  of Pettersson strip method using programs Excell and Autocad. Its result is check using different Limite state methods in program GEO 5 of FINE company. Pettersson strip method using programs Excell and Autocad. In the next step  was checked degree of slope stability using Pettersson strip method using programs Excell and Autocad in the gradual lowering of water (landslide rescue method). The landslide rescue method was finally designed.
