An analysis of a transport operator´s job description

An analysis of a transport operator´s job description My degree work is centred on the problems of a transport operator´s job in a forwarding agency. The introduction provides an explanation of a term of "dispatch service" and explains why logistics is so important in transport. Then there is a description of the transport development after 1990 and the changes transport had to undergo in the time of globalization. The main part of the work deals with the operator´s working procedure from an offer to a demand, an order and other actions to the final realization. A model example is given to represent an actual transporting process. The work also states conditions under which transport is executed, for example payment terms and terms of delivery. Next chapters outline the way of calculation, give a detailed description of collecting service (which is implemented within the bounds of CS Expres system) and of storing problems including the introduction of bar codes in stores and possibilities of logistic service extension. The conclusion is focused on the firm developing strategy.

Analysis of the main material flows in the company

The aim of my thesis was to analysis the material flow in the company Prym Consumer CZ s.r.o. In the thesis I have described relations with suppliers, which is worth mentioning a consignment stock. Most I have focused on the evaluation of stock control {--} from the description of stores, to draft their own inventory management.

The traffic control and a products storage in logistical chains, expecting the adjustment of the temperature for a goods

The thesis is focusing on the traffic control and products storage in logistic chains in a company that has been chosen. The concept of a competition and the importance of logistic in a transport is explained in a introduction. I have described further the logistic chains, the problems and their resolution. The description of the main processes in the factory from a purchase, a production and a distribution of milk and milk products are a part of this thesis. Description of the milk collection to the dairies , its processing and storage up to expedition. The relationships of a delivery , the process of order, the distribution and supply are mentioned. I have pointed on a cohesion of all partnerships of Madeta Group, Inc. and I have described the organisational structure in the factory together the responsibilities of a leadership workers. The work is specialised on current situation in a factory as well- the milk prices, an export of material to Germany, a limitation of a production and a closing of a branches, growth of a prices of the butter and evaluation of the situation. The evaluation of a whole company, economic situation and valuation of logistic mentioned company are a conclusion of this thesis.

High availability storage for virtualized servers

This thesis aims at providing basic overview of technologies capable of providing high-availability for virtualized servers. It focuses mostly on technologies that are cheap and available even to the smallest companies. Reader is presented with an introduction to hardware technologies, that can be used to connect storage, software technologies available to share the storage and finaly there is a quick introduction to virtualization solutions of major market players. Aim of the project part of this thesis is to explore the options of building small virtualization cluster based only on common hardware and opensource technologies on Linux platform.

Data storage systems and supply of their outsourcing services

Ukládání a správě dat je v současnosti věnována velká pozornost. Práce se pokouší čtenáři podat ucelený přehled o této oblasti informačních technologií ? tedy datových úložištích pro firmy. V úvodu nastiňuje současné nároky kladené na datová úložiště a důvody růstu poptávky po nich. Dále pokračuje popisem technologií využívaných pro ukládání dat a jejich srovnáním nejen z technické ale i z ekonomické stránky. V předposlední kapitole nabízí náhled na situaci na trhu outsourcingu. Dále popisuje formy a služby nabízené v rámci outsourcingu datových úložišť. V závěru nabízí práce pohled na předpokládaný vývoj a prosazení popisovaných technologií s ohledem na konkrétní podnikový sektor.

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na oblast skladování. Převážná část práce je věnována projektování centrálního distribučního skladu společnosti Hamé a.s. Práce obsahuje návrh a popis dispozičního řešení (layoutu), skladového informačního systému, volbu manipulačních vozíků a skladových regálů, kapacitní posouzení manipulační techniky pro jednotlivé skladové operace včetně personálního obsazení a zhodnocení současného stavu provozu.
