International standards Quality for Children in the practice of the social and legal protection of children in the Czech republic

Master's Degree Thesis. The object of this work is to identify the weaknesses of the current system of the alternative care by comparing casuistry with the standards of quality. I use casuistry of the current or former clients of foster care. In the first part I put the topic of social and legal protection of children into context of international and constitutional documents. There is also a chapter about the Standars Quality4Children. Then I focus on the situation in the Czech republic. I start with the descripction of the current system and finish with the process of transformation of the system of care for children at risk. The bill changing the Act No. 359/1999 Coll. on the social and legal protection of children was published. It is the first step to the transformartion and it's necessary to be followed-up other steps. The actual explorative empirical part of this work is conducted by a qualitative research strategy. Assessment of the effectiveness of social services

The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the methods for assessing the effectiveness of social services. I use the example of the organization Cesta domů o. s. applying the multicriteria method created by South Moravian Region for assessing the effectiveness of registered social services provided in its region. At the beginning I explain what social service is, its history and the types of social services, then the financial sources that can be used. Subsequently the methods that are suitable for assessing the effectiveness of social services. For my analysis I use the example of the organization Cesta domů o. s. , describing the organization itself and the social services it provides, the organization provides respite care and professional social consulting, following that there is an analysis of the effectiveness of the two provided social services. In closing I present the results of my analysis.

Standards of Quality - Implementation and Development in Houses for Seniors

Basic principles and content of quality standards of social services are described in the law 108/2006, about social services, and in related notice 505/2006. There are described the most important principles and obligations to provide social services by providers. Quality standards are a tool to achieve required level of services. They are also used as control mechanism for all of providers. These standards were released in 2002 and they started process of transformation some organizations. For this transformation are important a will of service provider and appropriate ammount of money to manage required changes. The quality standards are uniform tool for all of kinds of social services. It means to revise all of internal regulations of providing organizations. It means also to make emploees do along the new system. In the senior house in Sušice there was worked allong with these standards since the new legislation came into force. As a method were chosen conducted talks with clients and questionnaire for emploees. Althrow most of the clients are in serious health condition, they need care and help by personnel during whole day, conclusions in case of care were positive. All of the clients are satisfied with accomodation. Interesting is also the time of living there, 27% of the clients live there more than 6 years. With sanitary care were satisfied 90% of clients. Satisfaction of the clients with providing care means, that implementation of quality standards increases level of provided care. Questionnaire for emploees proves, that very important matter is to move people´s mind and to remove old stereotypes of work. Not all of emploees are working with aim to provide help to the clients. There is large space for a work with current staff and in the field of option of new workers. Relationships between emploees in working process are not good. I thing, it is a legacy of the past. I would like to say, that it is a matter of each emploee to build relationships in organization. New principles and quality of work, it means to develop education and knowliges of each emploee. Questionaires, which were collected, syllabus of talks with the clients and obtained conclusions will be used to improve the work in the field of social services.

The management of quality of selected products in company Robert Bosch, Ltd.

In summary of literature is definition of concept like quality, her history, and the management of quality and the cost of quality. The theses defines the concern of Bosch, production plant of Robert Bosch of České Budějovice, company history and secondly strategy and politics of quality system and the point and a results of quality system on assembly line DA {--} Daimler, on which are producing in-tank cars pumping devise. It is defined monitored product {--} the in-tank pumping device, the management of quality in the procedure of production and in all processes on workstations and than their specific quality control. Every single error in production process is analysed and results interpreted and a precaution is taken.

Social Services Provided by G-centre in Tábor Before and After the Law 108/2006 About Social Services Came Into Force

Social services represent an outstanding part of social policy of each country. They should maintain a standard of living and personal dignity, help in comeback to the society and prevent people from social exclusion. The aim of my thesis was Social Services Provided by G-centre in Tábor Before and After the Law 108/2006 About Social Services Came Into Force. The research part be composed of quantitative and qualitative method. In order to find the corresponding information, we have used the techniques of SWOT analysis and secondary and content analyses.

The Implementation of Quality Standards of Social Welfare Services in The Social Welfare Institution Stod.

The aim of my extended essay is to map out a state of an introduction of quality standards of social services in Social Welfare Institition of Stod. Process of a standard formation and their division into three basic parts are described in the first theoretical part. This is followed by a detailed acquaintance with the content of all the standards which is complemented by some instructions how to distinguish their filling and the most frequent mistakes. We can also find an explanation of a new terminology here which is used in the standards most often. The results of my carried-out qualitative research are presented in the following part. These were obtained by means of evaluating the interviews with some users and providers of social services, by making a content analysis of documentation and an analysis of various situations arising during the formation and introduction of standards in Social Welfare Institution of Stod. In this part, there is also a SWOT analysis of the current state of filling standards in this institution. The valuable point of the whole research is a suggestion of a methodical procedure during the intruduction of quality standards of social services which can be an instruction for other institutions. In the closing part of my extended essay, some measures are suggested which should contribute to a faster implementation of the standards into practice.
