Language and style of the plays written for Jára Cimrman Theatre

Language and style of the plays written for Jára Cimrman Theatre This magister thesis deals with language analysis of the stage plays of Jára Cimrman Theatre. The opening chapter describes general information about the theatre and it's authors as well. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part is based on results of theoretical studies of different authors, especially Bohuslav Brouk, Henri Bergson, Ladislav Dvorský and Vladimír Borecký. The practical part contains the detailed language analysis of all 15 stage plays. This diploma work analyzes which types of language comic we can find there and how much are they extended. Linguistic performances are separated on the principle of linguistics on individual linguistic branches. This diploma work also discusses mystification as a common framework for realization of all comic means. Pirandello's Trilogy of the Theatre in the Theatre.

The aim of the thesis called Pirandello's Trilogy of the Theatre in the Theatre is an analysis of three stage plays written by famous Italian writer Luigi Pirandello in pre-war period between years 1921-1930. The introduction, which is focused on Pirandello's life and his theatrical writings, which is divided into four stages: Sicilian theatre, humoristic theatre, theatre in the theatre and theatre of myths. Special attention is devoted to metatheatrical plays. Other chapters are concerned with the analysis of single plays: Six characters in search of an author (Sei personaggi in cerca d'autore), Each in his own way (Ciascuno a suo modo) and Tonight we improvise (Questa sera si recita a soggetto). The closing chapter compare these dramas and try to describe an evolution of characters and performance of theatre on the theatre.

The human ages in symbolic decoration of facades of renaissance townhouses on the Czech-Austrian border

The aim of the bachelor thesis is the catalog of the human ages in decoration of Renaisssance facades of townhouses on the Czech-Austrian border, content and comparative interpretation of selected theme. The first chapter discusses the state of research in historical and art-historical science. Next it discusses the historiography, the concept a sgraffito and the shape of Renaissance townhouses. The second chapter deals with the actual motive of human ages, symbolism and theatrical adaptation. The third chapter describes the various fronts on the Czech-Austrian border. The last chapter compares the different decorations and solve religious question of the owner. The conclusion summarizes the findings and presents opportunities for further research.

The first part is focus on the introduction of this writer and representative of absurd drama, on characteristic of stage plays played on czech territory, and finally focus on the list of professional theaters where the perfomances were stated. In the second part of this thesis there is the analysis of reaction on these productions which was written in the period press.
