A complex study of biological effects of some soya products
Ručková, Michaela ; Němcová, Andrea (referee) ; Márová, Ivana (advisor)
Soybeans and products thereof are considered as a very contradictory legume across layman and expert opinions. Some see it almost as a “superfood” while others avoid it due to its biologically active content with an unclear effect on the organism. As a lot of research on soybeans was already performed the content varies considerably and it is not easy to grasp the issue correctly. The objective of the research part of the thesis is a structuralized study of already published scientific knowledge to clarify the current state of the art. Experimental part of the thesis focuses on characterisation of soy and its products in terms of active ingredients content and determination of antioxidants and antimicrobial effect. After that, the cytotoxic effect on human heterogeneous colorectal adenocarcinoma epithelial cell line and mouse melanoma cell line is determined by in vitro testing. All obtained information and results of experimental part could possibly serve as a starting point for further study of soy and soy products, both in the dissertation and in the submission of a grant project.
Flexibilní žací lišta BISO a její uvedení na trh
Štursa, Václav
The diploma thesis: „Flexible combine header BISO and its introduction to the market” deals with the segment of flexible combine headers with a focus on the combine header BISO 3D VarioFlex AIR I and its introduction to the global markets. The thesis is divided into four main sections. In the first part, it describes the history of combine headers and currently used technical solutions, with a focus on grain headers. The second part is dedicated to the grain headers, also from the perspective of the Czech market. Also described is the current production pro-gram of the world’s leading grain header producers. In the third part, the technical and business aspects of the BISO grain header are analyzed. The focus in this part is also on the influence of individual aspects on the introduction to global markets. The fourth part uses practical tests and presents the results of these tests. Structured on the basis of these results is a SWOT analysis, and there are specific individual recommendations for the introduction of the product to global markets.
Analysis of production abilities of soya bean in selected agricultural company
ŠINDELÁŘ, Jan
This thesis presents the results of one year field experiment in the area of České Budějovice. The aim of thesis was to analyze the production abilities of selected varieties of soybean. A field experiment, with three soybean varieties, was performed in 2019 on a farm in Haklovy Dvory (leased by an agricultural company ZD Krásná Hora nad Vltavou, a.s.). The aim was to evaluate the real production capacity of soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill), in the conditions of the company. These varieties were selected - Abelina, Lissabon and Merlin. Except to yield, were also observed yield elements such as the number of plants per square meter, the number of pods per plant, the number of seeds in a pod and the weigth of thousand of seeds. Further, the total length of the plants, the number of primary branches, the height of the first pod, the content of fats and nitrogenous substances in the seed, and the amount of organic matter left after harvesting the seeds. For all tested varieties, a yield of over 2 tons per hectare was achieved, the Merlin variety even produced 2.7 tons of seeds per hectare. All tested varietis exceeded the profitability limit by yield, generally stated at 2 tons of yield per hectare. And they can all be considered acceptable for cultivation in the conditions locality České Budějovice. A considerable amout of organic matter from post harvest residues was added to the soil, in the case of the Abelina variety it was over 7 tons of matter per hectare.
Cultivar variability of soybean yield components formation when the crop is produced under less convenient field conditions
VOKURKA, Ondřej
The aim of this diploma thesis was to evaluate the yield formation of soybean under less favourable conditions. For the thesis' purposes, a one-year field experiment was realized in 2019 at the height of 559 metres above sea level, using the early to very early ripening varieties of Acardia, Coraline, Marzena, and Sculptor, all relatively new in the Czech Republic. Before harvesting, samples of the plants were gathered and the following parameters were determined: height of the plants, height of placement of the first pod, number of primary branches, number of pods on the plant, number of seeds in a pod, and weight of one thousand seeds. Furthermore, the fat content and the content of nitrogenous substances in the seeds was determined laboratorily. The obtained data were statistically processed. The yields varied from 2.96 (Sculptor) to 5.12 (Acardia) t/ha. For the Acardia and Coraline varieties, the content of nitrogenous substances was in a negative correlation with the fat content. For the Sculptor variety, the content substances were not analyzed due to mouldiness of the harvested seeds. The individual varieties displayed differences in how the yields were formed. The yields attained in the experiment were above average in general. The Sculptor variety proved to be unstable in terms of ripening under the given conditions. The experiment showed that if a suitable variety is chosen it is possible to grow soybean under the given conditions.

Evaluation of seed yield and yield components in selected soya (\kur{Glycine max} (L.) Merrill.) cultivars in region with less favourable conditions
VŠETEČKA, Petr
The aim of this master thesis was the finding out of potential of growing the soybeans in the area with not so suitable growing conditions. The next aim was to perform the experiment with application of leaf fertilizer EGT Fulhum which increases root system volume. In the years 2016 and 2017 was in the altitude 395 m established the field experiment with the variety Amandine and since the year 2017 was also joint the experiment with the very early variety Abeline. Within these cultivars of soybean were evaluated these parameters: Seed yield, the 1000 seed weight, seed oiliness, plant height, number of pods on one plant, number of the early branches and weight of roots. The seed yield was very variable from the point of view of the year. The yield in the year 2016 was above-average, the control variant reached the yield 2,93 tons per hectare and variant treated by Fulhum 2, 78 tons per hectare. One of the studied parameter was the nitrogen content and based on the results of this parameter was noticeable reduction of nitrogen content of the treated variant in the comparison with control variant. In the further year were two compared two varieties - Amandine and Abeline. Within the both varieties were involved to the experiment the control variant and the variant treated by plant auxiliary substance. In the year 2017 was confirmed the influence of the crop area establishment on the yield quality parameters. The progress of weather confirmed the high requirements of soybean on the good rainfall conditions. Seed yield of the variety Amandine was 1,07 tons per hectare in the case of the treated variant, by control variant it was 0,88 tons per hectare. The difference of the seed yield between both variants of the variety Abeline was very little, it was 0,90 tons per hectare by the treated variant and 0,93 tons per hectare by the control variant. The application of the plant auxiliary substance didn't cause, on average, the improvement of the studied parameters so the using of this substance, for the improvement of these parameters almost doesn't make any sense.
