Undine and Rusalka. Water nymphs in German and Czech fairy tales and different ways of using them not only in German classes at primary school

The didactic adaptation of the fairy tales Undine and Rusalka is described in the Master's thesis. The first and second chapters of the work are focused on the fairy tale as such. The origin of the fairy tale, its development, the distinction between folk and author's fairy tales together with their importance in child education are described there. This is followed by a chapter devoted to fairies and their origin in Slavic mythology, with a focus on water witches. The fourth and fifth chapters are dedicated to both fairy tales, their analysis, authors and analysis of their plot. The theme of love and nature is particularly emphasized here. This is followed by a chapter with focus to comparative analysis of both protagonists. The literary-didactic part is concentrated to the use of these two fairy tales not only in German language classes at the first grade of elementary school, but also observes inter-subject relationships. By the work is presented a concrete example of how fairy tales can be included in the teaching at the first grade of elementary school, in the form of a one-day project where works with both fairy tales are used at the same time KEYWORDS Undine; Rusalka; water witch; fairy tale; love; nature; society
Winners and Losers. Images of Women in Theodor Fontane's Novels Frau Jenny Treibel and Effi Briest

This Master's thesis deals with female characters of the socially critical novel Frau Jenny Treibel by Theodor Fontane, in order to find out whether the heroines are satisfied in their social roles or whether they try to challenge the social norms, and what role their social background and education play in this matter. Furthermore, we ask what life goals these women pursue and how successful they are in fulfilling them. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter sketches Fontane's biography with the emphasis on the importance of his numerous friendships with women and his ambivalent relationship to female emancipation. Based on literature research, the second chapter introduces poetic realism focusing on Fontane's specific position in it - as a critical realist with elements of modernity. The third, longest chapter, contains the analysis and interpretation of the individual female characters of the novel. We have found, that regardless their social class and education, the heroines live under social conventions, according to which their main goal is an advantageous marriage, functioning at the same time as the measure of their success. Role of prevention methodist related to social-pathological phenomena at elementary schools.

The bachelor?s thesis is focused on different standpoints of primary prevention of risk behavior at elementary school environment. At the thesis forefront stands a role of school prevention methodist. The target the thesis is collection and comparison of various points of view related to prevention of risk behavior and a role of elementary school prevention methodist. The theoretical part describes a social pathology, a social deviance and a social norm. It defines term ?risk behavior? and describes the selected risk behaviour (school the most common ones) that occur within the school environment often. Then it directes on prevention of this risk behavior and basic characterization of elementary schools in the Czech Republic. The practical part contains the results of survey conducted at three elementary schools in South Bohemian Region. Through the questionnares and interviews it maps the standpoints of 8th to 9th grade the pupils, parents, teachers, principals and prevention methodists themselves related to primary prevention and prevention methodist activity accompanied by indications of risk behavior at selected elementary schools.
