Counseling in the Context of Health and Social Care
PALOCHOVÁ, Markéta
The aim of the bachelor 's thesis was to find out how social counseling is provided in the context of health and social care in medical facilities. The theoretical part of the thesis introduced the basic characteristics of social counseling. In the practical part, research questions were set. To achieve the set goal of the bachelor's thesis, a qualitative research strategy was chosen using the method of questioning and the technique of semi-structured interview. The research group consisted of health and social workers who worked in hospitals in the South Bohemian Region at the time of the research. The semi-structured interviews were recorded in audio form with the consent of the informants and subsequently transcribed. Data analysis was performed by open coding method. The bachelor thesis deals with individual aspects of providing social counseling and introduces the actual state of implementation of social counseling in hospitals from the perspective of health and social workers. The research showed that health and social workers in hospitals provide social counseling mainly to hospitalized clients and their family members, whom they help to solve the current social situation. Social counseling is mainly focused on providing post-hospitalization care. It usually takes place at the patient's bedside or in the office of the health and social workers. The research revealed problems with insufficiently secured privacy in the provision of social counseling to bedridden people, the need to educate the public in the field of social services and also draws attention to the appropriateness of increasing the safety of health and social workers. It will be possible to use the bachelor's thesis as a source of information on the method of providing social counseling in health care facilities in the South Bohemian Region. It will also serve as feedback for individual medical facilities in which the research was conducted.

To accomplish main object were set two sub-objectives: 1. Identify the reasons that lead to indebtedness. 2. Identify competencies whose absence may lead to indebtedness. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part includes description of the term dept problematic, definition of commitments, characteristics of indebtedness and overindebtedness, the reasons of debts, social counseling, the klient of social counseling and last but not least, debt counseling as a social counseling activity. The research results into the fact that people in the chosen age group are most often indebted because of the lack of financial literacy, which leads them to falling into a debt trap, which then deepens, mainly because of their indiscretion. The main cause of debts in such young peoples is the separation from the family and the searching for adequate housing. The research also proved that this group of people is located on the brink of society and will find it difficult to deal with this situation, as they know the solutions but rarely know where they can find advice or help. The consequences of their actions then have a bad effect on their psyche and subsequently worsen their health. The results of thesis can be used as educative material for wide public. The thesis can be also publicated in the local peridiocals in terms of the actual topic in connection with the amendment of insolvency act. Social counseling for people with Parkinson's disease
KORTÁNOVÁ, Nikola
Bachelor thesis deals with social counseling for people with Parkinson's disease in the South Bohemian Region and the main goal is to find out and describe whether and how people with Parkinson's disease use professional social counseling. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical part and practical part. In the theoretical part I deal with the definition of illness, history, current classification, anatomy and philology of the disease, diagnosis, symptoms and treatment. I also deal with social counseling, specifics of counseling for persons with Parkinson's disease, forms of professional social counseling and in the last part of the theoretical part I deal with social services and social benefits for people with this diagnosis. This is the general theoretical framework of the subject, which is the basis for the following practical part. In accordance with the main aim of the bachelor's thesis, two main research questions were selected in the practical part, for which five sub-research questions were defined. HVO1: What are the experiences of people with Parkinson's disease with professional social counseling in the South Bohemian Region? Three sub-research questions have been identified for this main research question. DVO1: What forms of professional social counseling are used by people with Parkinson's disease? DVO2: What kind of questions do people with Parkinson's address to social workers? DVO3: What are the experiences of people with Parkinson's disease with information on providing social services, social benefits and social counseling? HVO2: What are the experiences of people with Parkinson's disease with medical counseling in the South Bohemian Region? Two sub-research questions have been identified for this main research question. DVO4: What forms of medical advice are used by people with Parkinson's disease? DVO5: What kind of questions does a person with Parkinson's have to do with a doctor? With regard to the aim of the thesis, qualitative research has been chosen, which is beneficial for a deeper examination of the given issue. A method of polling with a semi-structured interview technique was established. The results obtained were elaborated into nine categories and were displayed through the so-called "map maps" digits, which make the KP responses organized in a clear way and show mutual relationships and contexts. The research group consists of seven communication partners, hereinafter referred to as KP, who were selected by deliberate selection. The criterion was the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, membership of Parkinson's Club in České Budějovice at least 6 months, age 55+ and consent to interview. Research results have shown that all KPs do not use professional social counseling for various reasons. One of the main reasons is the lack of information in this area on the possibilities of counseling. Another reason is the absence of a specialized center in the South Bohemian region for these people. The benefit of this bachelor work is the finding that persons with Parkinson's disease are under-informed on social services, social benefits and social counseling itself, and this finding can help in the form of a lecture in the framework of the Parkinson's Club in České Budějovice or in the form of leaflets for these people about the possibilities of social Services, social benefits and social counseling for these persons.
