Development of precise barometric sensor
Bebej, Rastislav ; Králík, Jan (referee) ; Řeřucha,, Šimon (advisor)
This thesis deals with the development of an electronic module for absolute air pressure measurement. The device is to be used in interferometry in length metrology, where it is necessary to determine the value of atmospheric pressure with high accuracy. The thesis includes a research focused on the selection of suitable pressure sensors for this purpose and the selection of supporting components. The thesis also deals with the design of the circuit design and the printed circuit board. The module communicates with the device network via CAN bus, using the CANopen protocol. The device has been thoroughly tested with a reference barometer and in a controlled environment of a temperature chamber. The aim of these measurements was to determine the noise characteristics and to assess the proposed filtering using an IIR filter. Based on the calibration with a certified barometer, the device is supplemented with offset compensation, temperature influence compensation and linearly dependent pressure deviation compensation.
Longitudinal index structures in optical fibers
Polreich, Štěpán ; Čučka, Milan (referee) ; Urban, František (advisor)
This thesis describes basic concepts, principles and properties of optical fibers. Considerable part is devoted to fiber gratings that are created by a change in the refractive index in the optical fiber core. In this work is described description, principle, method od production and distribution of gratings on Bragg gratings, gratings with long period and chirped gratings. In this thesis are also presented different types of lasers and their advantages over other lasers. A large part deals with the description of the femtosecond laser, with which the structures will be later made into the material. In addition, the laser modes are differentiated, this is a mode of micro-machining and modification or a change in refractive index of the material. The last part deals with change the refractive index in planar technology, the creation of a groove for fastening the fiber and attempts to write the gratings into the optical fiber. Created fiber sensor are tested for temperature and tensile changes. Finally, the practical use of sensors made by femtosecond laser and the advantages over UV laser and phase mask techniques are presented.
Indikace spalovacích tlaků zážehových motorů
Linhart, Roman
The thesis deals with the indication of combustion pressures of ignition engines. Introduction is devoted to thermodynamics of combustion engines and their diagrams. The following section describes the methods for measuring the combustion pressures of a spark ignition engine. This chapter describes three basic methods of measurement, the most described of which are piezoelectric sensors. The next part is devoted to the design of the measuring chain and to the description of the material used, which was used for the measurement on the engine under test. The main goal of the thesis was to evaluate the results obtained by measuring at the engine testing center of Mendel Uni-versity in Brno. The data were tabulated and graphically evaluated and subsequently described. At the end of the thesis everything is evaluated and the results summarized.
