Bachelor´s thesis is focused on a design of an application for libraries to gain additional profit and to put a modern service on the market. The paper includes an analysis of the current market situation and a draft supported with data and funcional modeling so that this design can be considered universal for all operating systems.

The first part of bachelor's thesis Compact Bluetooth multimeter discusses Bluetooth Low Energy technology. It describes individual layers and protocols of its communication chain. There are also described some of the electronic ciruits and methods used for measuring in electronics. The second part of the bachelor's thesis describes practical design and implementation procedures of the compact multimeter which communicates with a smartphone application via Bluetooth Low Energy.

The bachelor thesis deals with mobile Android platform. The application for administration of costs of running a car was created within this thesis. It describes design and implementation of the application and analyses calculation of car's consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. The application uses SQLite database, asynchronous tasks and modern user interface components.
