Study of the formation of a polymorphic modification of Alite M1
Vašíček, Jan ; Všianský,, Dalibor (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
The work is devoted to the study of the preparation and stabilization of the monoclinic polymorphic phase of alite M1. The procedure of preparation and optimization was proposed in the work. The key finding was that a suitable design of the raw meal could be used to prepare the M1 polymorph in one step, but still with a persistent belite content. A significant shift was the elimination of the purification phase to 980 ° C.
Studying Formation and Kinetics of Belite Clinker Hydration
Halešová, Adéla ; Walter, Martin (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
DIPLOMA THESIS IS DEVOTED TO THE STUDY OF PREPARATION OF PURE BELITE CLINKER FOR THE POTENTIAL INCREASE OF KINETICS OF THE HYDRATION PROCESS BY CHEMICAL ACTIVATION. THE THESIS OF THIS WORK IS BASED ON RESEARCH FINDINGS CONCERNING BELITE CLINKER AND RESEARCH AT THE INSTITUTE OF THD. THE THESIS AIMS TO DESIGN COMPOSITION OF THE RAW MEAL BURNING BELITE, FOLLOWING MODIFICATION BY SULPHATE AND POTASSIUM CARBONATE IN ORDER TO POTENTIALLY INCREASE THE REACTIVITY OF THE BURNT BELITE CLINKER AND THE LABORATORY FIRING OF PREPARED SAMPLES. THE LAST STEP WAS TO ASSESS THE MINERALOGICAL COMPOSITION OF BURNED SAMPLES XRD ANALYSIS AND FOLLOWING COMPARISON CELL PARAMETER OF BELITE WITH AND WITHOUT ADDED MODIFYING ADDITIVES.
Synthetic Preparation and Properties of Thaumasite
Klásková, Silvie ; Dvořák, Karel (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
This thesis continues in the monitoring of thaumasite thermodynamic stability. It mainly deals with mineral properties and possible ways of its synthetic preparation. Mineralogical composition determined using X-ray diffraction analysis as well as possible impact of sample storage conditions can help further property identification. Based on the obtained radiographs, thaumasite mineral can be well distinguished from the very similar ettringite mineral.
Effect of different grinding technologies on the properties of Portland cement
Švéda, Matěj ; Gazdič, Dominik (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis summarizes the conventional grinding technologies used in the manufacture of Portland cement. It also studies technologies potentialy useable in greater depth, specifically high-energy milling using mechanochemical activation. The effect of surfactants is also observed.
Thermodynamic Stability of Thaumasite
Pospíšilová, Klára ; Dvořák, Karel (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
This work deals with the resolution of the identification characteristics of the thaumasit, which falls into the same group of AFt phases as the mineral ettringit. Both of these stages have the same structural arrangement and the morphology. This work’s specific goal is the synthetic preparation of thaumasit in a variety of conditions and its evaluation.
Comparison of the different methods for the determination of the powder binders grindability
Virágová, Tereza ; Walter, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to summarize the knowledge gained in the field of grinding medium-hard and hard materials. Work has focused on examining the grindability of the material using available laboratory mill. The part of the work is subsequent optimization of the grinding process on the device and evaluation of the results.
Behaviour of Ettringite in Different Humidity Conditions at Increased Temperature
Hučínová, Lenka ; Kulísek, Karel (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the behaviour of ettringite as a highly watery material under varying external environment conditions. It deals with the development of ettringite at increased temperature and in different humidity conditions. Depending on these factors, both the stability of ettringite and its possible conversion to different minerals are monitored.
Severance of raw material flour transportation air
Brzobohatý, Lukáš ; Fatka, Jan (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
The dissertation is focused on the applied technical and economic analysis of the influence separation of transport air from raw meal on the economy clinker/cement production, in specific cement production. The analysis is performed on the basis of a detailed understanding and analysis of the function of each component of the technology of cement production, which are affected by separation of transport air from raw meal, mainly the dosing and preheat system of the raw meal. The results of the analysis show a significant effect (impact) separation of transport air on the production costs.
Properties of Portland cements with regard to the economic and ecological efficiency of production
Walter, Martin ; Jiroušková, Kateřina (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
Diploma thesis discusses about design composition and firing process modification of belite clinker. It also deals with the summary of knowledge about chemistry and production technology of portland cements with respect to its ecology and economy.
Monitoring the impact of various technologies of grinding on the properties of Portland cement
Virágová, Tereza ; Gazdič, Dominik (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
The work will deal with monitoring the impact of various technologies of grinding the resulting properties of portland cement. It will monitor the economic performance of the grinding process. The study briefly summarizes current knowledge about the technologies used and the technologies potentially applicable for cement grinding. This will be the technology of the mechanochemical activation.
