Motion illiteracy of elementary school pupils

Title: Motion illiteracy of elementary school pupils Objectives: The main goal of the thesis is to examine the level of motion illiteracy of elementary school pupils from 8th and 9th classes. That will be reached per examining the level of motion competence and attitudes to motion activities, physical education and active lifestyle. There will be also specified factors, which have smaller or bigger influence on the level of motion competence. Methods: For obtaining data, the questionnaire containing the topic of motion literacy was made according to relevant sources. There was made also the test battery containing ten basic exercices. Results: Tested pupils reached better results than was expected. Boys were motionally literate more than girls. Pupils had mostly positive attitudes to motion activities and physical education, but there were some significant differences between attitudes of boys and girls.
