Vondrušková, Eliška ; Pfeiffer, Jan (advisor) ; Tsikoliya, Lenka (referee)
The thesis discusses the phenomenon of a city with a special focus on public space and its wilderness aspect. It examines the city as a place for non-human organisms to inhabit and discovers its specific habitat, which is populated by a vague terrain of various sizes. It traces the relationship between the city and nature, how this relationship has evolved throughout history, and how nature is brought into cities in the form of gardens and parks. It alludes to the theme of the second nature that surrounds cities. The main theme is urban wilderness, the uninvited nature of cities and its aspects. The aim of this thesis is to explore the topic of urban wilderness, its aspects and manifestations, which are then didactically transformed. This is preceded by the study of literature and fieldwork, which includes archiving and mapping of different spaces. I have been fascinated by paper since my early childhood. It was a very important part of my life, it affected shaping my personality and a way of spending time. I wrote on paper, I drew on paper, I read about fictional worlds or important information on pieces of paper. Everything transformed into different waves, influences, insights, flowing into the windows of my soul, gradually influencing and filling it. Some of them stayed, some of them have faded, and others converted into new thoughts and ideas. These I most often put into words. And so, gradually, texts, stories and poems came into being, and they flowed through the huge amount of chaos like streaks of text. This installation is a visual representation of this situation.

Město jako scéna reálného života
Feifrlíková, Lenka
This bachelor thesis deals with connection between set design and landscape design. It focuses on basic similarities and differences between these two disciplines. It tries to show that set design cannot be just limited by stage of a theatre building. It reaches to the public space where are these two disciplines in connection. The goal is to explore how the set design and landscape design can complement to each other and where one branch of a second can draw inspiration. And to create a design of selected areas on the basis of these findings.
