Optimisation of the Components Lay-Out in Stock

This thesis deals with optimisation of the components lay-out in stock. The solution of this problem is based on four methods of storage assignment whose pros and cons are discussed.  The efficiency of these methods is tested by order picking simulator. Within this thesis, the stock simulator and optimizer has been designed and implemented using C# programming language and .NET framework tools.
