MODETA JIHLAVA
Palová, Iva ; Ryška, Zbyněk (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The task of the diploma thesis was to develop an architectural study of the revizalization of a former textile factory for the needs of the ZOO Jihlava. The oldest part of the building was probably built at the beginning of the 20th century, but it does not fass under any kind of protection of czech heritage. The study should include a transport solution in connection with the ZOO (with an emphasis on increasing the capacity of parkong spaces), restaurants, ZOO exhibits, interactive educational elements, congress halls, short-term accommodation, a technical background of the building, the economic and energy concept of the building, the concept of planting greenery and water management solutions. The idea of the thesis is to connect the building with the ZOO, which gives visitors the opportunity to use the restaurant and continue viewing the indoor (also winter) exhibition. This creates another separate tour route. At the same time, all parts of Modeta are accessible separately outside the ZOO area.
Winery Lahofer Dobšice
Odstrčilová, Jana ; Myslín,, Jiří (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor) ; Kalousek, Miloš (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is a design of a new building of Lahofer Winery in Dobšice u Znojma. An architectural study was created in AG33 class. The thesis works with the study and expands it by certain documents: Building permission documentation, and Execution of the project documentation. The building plot is located near Dobšice on a southern slope which is used as a vineyard. The task was to design a winery with a production building capable of producing up to 1.000.000 bottles of wine per year, and an administration building containing administration part, restaurant with necessary facilities, short-term accommodation for visitors, and showroom with a wine tasting area. The requirement of a public zone affects the size and form of the structure. We do not solely design a production building but also a building for the best representation of the company, recreation and social events. The main goal was to join the two functions sensitively - so that they can complement each other. We wanted to create a compact monolithic structure that is partly embedded into the ground - as is usual with traditional wine cellars. The monolithic structure is divided into a partly embedded production part and a public part with a view of the surroundings. Out of the mass of the monolithic structure rises another - third - floor. It is set a bit aside so that a terrace is created. The glass facades of the public part are on the Southwest. The vast area of the facade is divided by metal panels intertwined with willow twigs. The panels are set in a way so as to create an impression of a wine sprout coiling around the concrete slab of the main mass. The detail shows a form of the sliding panels used for shading of the glass surfaces.
Winery Sekt Jan Petrák
Mydlár, Lukáš ; Myslín, Jiří (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor) ; Kalousek, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis extends the study created in the summer semester 2016 to the level of Building permit documentation and Documentation for execution of the project. The study was created in the subject AG 33 Ateliér architektonické tvorby. The theme of the thesis is the design of the Vinárství Sekt Jan Petrák in Kobylí na Morave. The designed development includes one separated barrier-free apartment, two accommodation units for short-term accommodation, a space for the production of sparkling wine and a rooms for sale and tasting of a sparkling wine. The area, in which the vinery is located, is characterized by a compact type L development. Surrounding objects are mostly single-storey with a saddle roof facing towards the street. Winery land is easily available from main roads. It is on a flat terrain, with a slope opposite communications. The main idea of the design was to create an environment, that meets the requirements for different situations occurring in family winery. The location of the building on the plot sensitively respects the character of the surrounding development. The mass of the object is created by merging the classical shape with the neoplasm. The exterior staircase, surrounding the well, acts as a dividing element of the public and private part of the yard.

Price of Location: The Private versus Commercial Accommodation in Selected European Cities
Houfková, Barbora ; Kocourek, David (advisor) ; Matoušek, Jindřich (referee)
This thesis investigates the relationship between the location and the price of short-term accommodation in context of European metropolitan cities. We em- ploy the econometric OLS regression with log-level functional form to estimate the influence of main determinants on the price of the accommodation. We compare hotels and apartments in determined cities. We find out that there is a negative relationship between the distance from the city centre and the price of the accommodation. Our model determines the exact rate of drop in prices due to increasing proximity from the city centre. Furthermore, we find distance from the metro station and presence of Wi-Fi in the rooms as insignificant fac- tors for our sample. Finally, we explore that people's perception of the metro station is stable with changing proximity from the city centre. In conclusion, we provide suggestions for further research based on our analyses.
