Analysis of cycle paths using GIS in the Příbram region
Mrva, Cyril ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Štych, Přemysl (referee)
Use of GIS for analysis of cycling in the district of Příbram Abstract This work is focused to analyze communications in the district of Příbram in terms of suitability for bicycle transportation and to create a basis for designing the optimal guidance of cycle routes. First part is dedicated to recherche legislation in sphere of Other sections are devoted to an analysis options and functions of geoinformation systems and design a proper solution. The conclusion is devoted to the application obtained data and to the design of new cycle routes. Keywords: cycling, geoinformatics, slope analysis, distance analysis, cost surfaces, network analysis, cycle routes designing
Relationship between morphometric characteristics of the terrain and network analysis in GIS
Kufner, Jan ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Štych, Přemysl (referee)
The main objective of the diploma thesis is creation of methodology and automatization of calibration process of network graph based on the values of morphometric characteristics and motion vectors. The resulting morphometric values of the terrain have been detected on the basis of mathematical and cartographic methods for line course expression. The most accurate one has been used in GIS network analysis over the road network and digital terrain models, which were chosen as the most appropriate for this purpose. Relationship between morphometric values and values suitable for use in network analysis (speed, time, ...) has been studied using specific examples in appropriately selected territory with using selected vehicle, which was designated as a bicycle. The practical part for the verification of functionality of the suggested methodology has been compared with other models of accessibility, available web-map portals and route planners. The process of transport network evaluation based on selected parameters has been automated in Python programming language as a tool in ArcGIS software, which is attached to the diploma thesis. Deviatility of roads in network analysis with the use of GIS
Bartoš, Jan ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Jaroš, Jakub (referee)
The key of presented diploma thesis is to find a way to take shape of roads into account when performing network analysis. Methods of mathematical representation of shape of lines are discussed; the curvature is chose for later use. Then the relation between road's curvature and speed is discussed - the model for setting the speed is suggested. Important part of the thesis is focused on implementation in GIS. Designed model is implemented by Python in the ArcGIS for Desktop. Due to testing on specific examples, it was confirmed, that the taking the shape characteristics into account provides high précising of network analysis.

Analysis of the accessibility of elementary schools in the Czech Republic since 1961
Mattern, Tomáš ; Hudeček, Tomáš (referee) ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor)
Analysis of the accessibility of elementary schools in the Czech Republic since 1961 Abstract The aim of this paper is to analyze the development of accessibility to elementary schools in the Czech Republic since 1961 by the personal car transport using network analysis. In addition, the paper also evaluates the development to elementary schools by public transport. The first part summarizes the available literature about those issues. The second part presents the source data and analysis metodology. Most of the analysis is performed by GIS ArcGIS 9.3. The last part presents the analysis results. It was found that the accessibility of complete elementary schools has improved in the period and the accessibility of all elementary schools has deteriorated. This applies to the accessibility by personal car transport and by public transport.
