Changes of landscape structure and scattered greenery in the Jistebnicko region
Štěpán, Jan ; Lipský, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Romportl, Dušan (referee)
The landscape has been profoundly affected by human activity for centuries and the consequences of this interference have been growing in scale with the rising demands of modern society. The processes leading to the landscape's homogeneity, or, on the other hand, its fragmentation, have been focus of many studies which then allow us to understand how the landscape functions in its entirety and are also significant for the process of spatial planning on the local level. The aim of this theses is to assess the changes done to land cover an landscape's (micro)structure with special focus on scattered greenery (non-forest woody vegetation), as well as to examine how these changes have been mapped into the cadastral municipality of Cunkov, located in the Jistebnická vrchovina highlands, throughout the last 180 years. It is then possible to analyze these changes using the GIS and historical materials from three time periods which were beforehand selected - the years 1840, 1953 and 2019. Microstructure of the landscape plays an essential role in landscape's dynamics and for its ecologic stability.

Stehnová, Ema
Diploma thesis solves problems of avenues and rows of trees in the landscape. The mapping of avenues and rows of trees by Methodology of avenues mapping 2015 (Dušek a Klemensová, 2015) in Vyskov district was the main aim of the thesis. The database of avenues and rows of trees in district of Vyskov, which will be as separate thematic layer in the Czech National Geoportal INSPIRE, is the result of mapping. Utilization of these results as a tool of regional development was another aim of the thesis. Depending on the results, the cycle route with information boards and benches were proposed. The results were graphically processed. In conclusion, the states and perspectives of the avenues in our landscape were evaluated. 224 elements (106 avenues and 118 rows of trees) were mapped in Vyskov district. The broadleaved ornamental trees were the mostly from the tree species. The state of health was most often rated 2 (good) and 1 (excellent). Using the design of cycle routes, etc. is one of the possibilities of promoting the theme of avenues and rows of trees in our society.

The thesis deals with the issue of dispersed greenery, its division and function in the landscape. By the research method has been characterized 6 selected localities. The coefficient of ecological stability and its changes since 1990 has been calculated for selected localities and then compared by the comparative method. The main aim was to map the state and changes of dispersed greenery (mainly woody plants) along the railway tracks. The condition of greenery along railway tracks and its unkeep was evaluated and compared, which is primarily aimed at keeping the greenery in a condition ensuring safety and continuity of the rail traffic. An integral part of the thesis is a proposal of measures for greenery along the tracks.
The importance of woodlots and their ecological characteristics for birds in an intensively managed agricultural landscape
Rajmonová, Lenka ; Reif, Jiří (advisor) ; Šálek, Martin (referee)
Various types of woody vegetation are a key biodiversity refugee in intensively managed agricultural landscapes. However, the role of woodlots, representing an important type of such a vegetation, remains overlooked so far. Whereas the previous studies focused on the effect of their area, shape and isolation, consequences of variation in their habitat quality for biodiversity were not assessed up to now. This thesis is thus one of the first studies focusing on woodlots as a specific habitat for birds in agricultural landscape. My goals were: (I) to find out what is the bird community composition of woodlots in a Czech landscape, (II) to find out, what are the key habitat predictors of bird species richness and abundance in woodlots, (III) to describe differences in habitat preferences among various guilds and (IV) to formulate recommendations for conservational practice. I surveyed birds in 82 woodlots in an intensively managed landscape in Central Bohemia, Czechia, and measured variables describing woodlots' habitat quality together with woodlots' area, shape, isolation and types of surrounding land-use. I recorded numerous forest and non-forest bird species (57 in total), including some endangered farmland birds. The habitat variables showing significant relationships to bird community...
Dřeviny vhodné pro prvky plánu společných zařízení v komplexní pozemkové úpravě
PILSKÁ, Nikola
The goal of the bachelor thesis is to create an overview of woody plants which are the most suitable for planting in complex land consolidation, while planning individual parts of the common facilities plan. First, the thesis defines the general landscape protection using legislation of the Czech Republic. Next, it describes the common facilities plan with emphasis on parts where woody plants are usually located. The thesis also presents the definition of woody plants growing outside forests (scattered greenery) and the division of woody plants according to geobiocoenological landscape typology. The most important part of the thesis is the woody plants classification which presents woody plants appropriate for parts of the common facilities plan while designing complex land consolidation according to the location. The final part of the thesis presents planting and woody plants care.
Zmapování rozptýlené zeleně v zemědělské krajině a návrh dosadby
SMĚTÁK, Petr
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to map the scattered greenery in the cadastral area of Dlouhá Lhota u Tábora, to find out the problematic places, to suggest the planting of greenery for the given area and to draw all these elements into the map. The practical part describes individual elements of scattered green both from a functional point of view and from a species point of view and the health status of a given element is also captured. The second part of this bachelor thesis is a search, which serves for explanation and approximation of terms, which need to be known. Scattered greenery has been a part of the landscape for centuries and has various functions. In many cases, these are soil-protective and water-protective functions, where they have an erosion challenge. Their next function is aesthetic, where they create landscape dominants or help orient animals in the landscape. Some of them have a historical function when they arose in connection with an event.
