Design of direct drive tool turret for CNC lathe

The diploma thesis deals with the design of a direct drive tool turret, which serves as a tool magazine for a CNC lathe. In the introductory part of the work, a research was performed in the field of automatic tool change with a focus on tool turrets and their main structural units. The introductory research is followed by the main part of the work, which begins with the selection of appropriate design solutions, followed by a presentation of the tool turret design created in CAD software Autodesk Inventor 2021 and in the final part of thesis the key elements of the proposed design are verified by calculations.
Design of CNC lathe broaching head

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of construction of broaching head for CNC lathe. This thesis is divided into research part, computational and construction part. The research part is dealing with the CNC lathes and tools with focus on the BMT and VDI tool turrets. Based on the outputs from the research, design parameters and suitable construction solution was chosen. The chosen construction solution uses the crank mechanism. This part is followed by the computational part which includes strength calculations of construction parts and other parameters such as cutting force. The last part is dealing with the construction of the broaching head itself. This thesis also includes a 3D model, drawings of selected parts and an assembly drawing.

This thesis deals with mechanical design of tool turret for CNC lathe. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to research of automatic tool exchange and current trends in design of tool turrets with drive of rotary tools. The second part is focused to design of tool turret, which is based on the findings of the research part of the thesis. The design includes calculations of machining loads, spindle deformation, bearings, gears and spindle startup. Furthermore, 3D models and selected drawings are included.

This bachelor's thesis deals with present status in the area of automatic tool change at milling centers. Research, as well as basic integrated classification of currently used manipulators and magazines can be found in this work. Specific equipment manufacturer's products for automatic tool change are introduced to draw the reader near the understanding of given tool change and its orientational parameters.

Imposition of my diploma thesis is replace current fluid motor that the derive benefit from to indexing turret head behind electrically driven motor in the sliding headstock machine with indication KMX 326 C. Suggested system must be the most toughest and have to correspond with all the dated up parameters for cutting. Integral part of structural design is also becomingly select accurate blocking a turret head. Fluid motor substitutes behind electrical drive from next reasons: - high transmission loss on energy - sensitivity to cleanness liquid - characteristics mechanism depend upon features liquid ( thermal expansivity, fadeaway)
Design of tool turret for CNC lathe

Bachelor thesis describes the design of tool turret for CNC lathe and is divided into the search, computation and construction part. The purpose of the search is to introduce the reader to the issue of automatic tool exchange. It also describes the actions that the turret has to handle and the mechanisms by which these actions are performed. The calculation part deals with the diameter of the shaft of system, specified minimum torque characteristics of the drive and the design bearings of the system. The construction part is based on the computations. Using the data obtained from the computational part is according to the norm DIN 8869 designed the 3D model of the turret, type disc, which is completed with drawing documentation of selected parts.

The second part is focused on the production of given type of body. The thesis deals with either existing production technology or proposals of possible innovation. This firstly consists in new organization of manufacturing operations. At the close we can find comparison of existing technology and new proposal.
