Concrete with Bio-Based Aggregates
Vrzáň, Jakub
This article focuses primarily on concrete made from plant-based aggregates (rapeseed and hemp straw) coupled with a binder (lime-based and water glass). These materials may represent a way to ensure the sustainable production of building structures with high insulation properties. It is necessary to have thorough knowledge of the behaviour of such materials in order to improve their applicability in diverse construction projects around the world. The main finding of this paper is that a composite material composed of locally available secondary agricultural raw material and lime binder exhibits excellent thermal properties.
Výnos semen řepky olejné v odlišných agroekologických podmínkách
Krejčířová, Markéta
The aim of this work is to analyse the relationship between the yield of rapeseed and the factors which affect its formative. In the first part of the work is research of literature sources about rapeseed as a crop with a more detailed focus on biotic and abiotic factors influencing its yield. In the practical part are firstly evaluated test stations, from which we get the data on rapeseed yields in the Czech Republic. Their inclusion in the warm or cold region is compared with the evolution of the climate in recent years and a new classification is proposed. Then data on rapeseed yields at these stations during the last twelve years is analysed.
The effect of rape seed treatment with oomycete Pythium oligandrum on plant metabolism
Vaverová, Kateřina ; Ryšlavá, Helena (advisor) ; Müller, Karel (referee)
Lot of attention is paid to biological control agents of plant pathogens as it will reduce the amount of pesticides used in agriculture. Pythium oligandrum oomycete is already used commercially in the form of watering and spraying. In this work the properties of other isolates were characterized, and the metabolic changes were studied in plants of oilseed rape (Brassica napus subsp. Oleifera), whose seeds were treated with preparates based on Pythium oligandrum. In the first part of the thesis the properties of compounds secreted by isolates of Pythium oligandrum were tested. The amount of phenolic substances and the activity of endoglycosidase endo-β-1,3-glucanase, cellulase, chitinase as well as proteases were measured to assess the ability of oomycete Pythium oligandrum mycoparasitically protect the plant. Substances, especially oligandrin, which during interaction with the plant are responsible for "priming", have been observed, enabling the plant to respond rapidly to pathogen infection through systemic plant resistance. Differences between individual isolates also manifested themselves in electrophoretic separation in the protein representation. In the second part of the work, the effect of rapeseed seed treatment with isolates of Pythium oligandrum on plant metabolism was monitored. While...
Use of RT-PCR in stress reaction studies
MANDÁK, Michal
Although the share of rapeseed (Brassica napus) in comparison with other oil crops on the world market continues to rise, its cultivation potential ,as with many other crops, is still limited due to its abiotic cold stress sensitivity. Therefore, the theoretical part of this thesis deals with the issue of plant stress and the description of the RT-qPCR method in the context of its suitability for quantification of changes that occur during cold stress. In the practical part of this thesis, an analysis of gene expression in selected dehydrin gene ERD10 was performed including description of sampling from plants, method of RNA isolation, reverse transcription into cDNA and own RT-qPCR. The research sample consisted of two rapeseed varieties Cadeli and Navajo subjected to cold stress at (2°C). The initial assumption was that there would be a noticeable difference in the expression level of the gene ERD10 between these varieties, depending on the ability of these plants to withstand cold stress. Although some samples were not measured, the interpretation of the data confirmed original assumption. During the first 6 days of cold stress, the Navajo variety had a significantly higher expression of this gene than the Cadeli variety. Based on the association between ERD10 expression and cold resistance, it should be possible to use ERD10 as one of the markers for the selection of cold resistant genotypes.
Energy crops and world food prices
JEGLA, Martin
This diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of scientific literature and the current situation in the field of energy crops and world food prices and trying to express the contemporary situation in this area through discourse. It seeks to analyse the relationship between the production of technical and energy crops in relation to the production of food commodities, world food prices and the anticipated growth of the world's population. Analysis of secondary statistical data of selected productions of food commodities in the last 5 years and their comparison with the prices of selected technical and energy crops are trying to define the direct and indirect links between the development of prices of these commodities.
Influence of plant protection system on oil rape and greenhouse gases emissions from oil rape growing
SAMEC, Jakub
The theses serves as a comparison of different ways in the intensity of Brassica napus protection through the vegetational period. There were various protection types evaluated and their harmfulness was specified. Theses confronts the production of greenhouse gases emissions. The result is the surface unit emissive burden assesment and its conversion into the Brassica napus yield unit. These conclusions are based on the practical experiment which was realised in the farm located in Krty-Hradec village.
Způsoby regulace plevelů v porostech pěstované řepky (Brassica spp.)
TUPÁ, Jiřina
The thesis describes characteristics of rapeseed and its life cycle. Its main objective is to approach the problematics of weeds in the spring formo of rapeseed on the lands of agricultural company AGRO Dolní Bukovsko. Small-plot experiment was founded on cadastral area Bzí near Dolní Bukovsko, in direction to Týn nad Vltavou. The problems in cultivation of cultural plants are caused by weeds, which are negatively affecting the quality of production as well as the economics of cultivation. Evaluation of weeds was carried out by the counting method in the period since March to August 2016. Number of the weed plants which were found on the particular location was regularly registered and evaluated. In the conclustion it is possible to state that long-term regulation of weed occurence has to be undertaken in time, thoroughly and has to be based on complete protection. Complete protection consists of direct and indirect methods of regulation. As one of the many but most effective possibilities it is possible to use herbicide preparations
The effect of purging on lipid content and composition of common carp
TRYBULOVSKÝ, Filip
This bachelor's thesis deals with purging of common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.), and examines its effect on the content and composition of fatty acids and fat content. The goal of this experiment is to prove that purging has a positive effect on the carp flesh quality; that the progress and result of purging can be influenced by the input fish quality; and determining optimum time for carp purging with regard to the content and composition of fatty acids. The raising of fish was done at the ponds of the Blatenská ryba, spol. s r. o. company. The purging itself took place at the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters at Vodňany. The fish were divided into three groups according to supplementary feed. The O group was supplementary fed by cereals, the KP group by mixture of KP Len (containing rapeseed and linseed) and the PP group was left with natural diet. The fish were sampled after being placed in the purging pond. This sampling was done on the following days: 0, 14, 28, 42, 56 and 70. The fat and fatty acid analyses were performed by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences at Uppsala, Sweden. The KP group has demonstrably better composition of fatty acids than the O group, and its total fat content is sufficient also. The PP group also has a good composition of fatty acids, however, its total fat content is too low. The experiment has proven that purging has a positive effect on the flesh quality, if the fish are purged for a certain time period. The optimum time for carp purging, as determined by us in this experiment, is 14 - 21 days, in this period the fish have the excellent composition of omega-3 PUFA, together with a sufficient total fat content.
