Mathematical methods in some ranking models
Pažourek, Lubomír ; Kureš, Miroslav (referee) ; Čermák, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the mathematical essence of some ranking methods. Their unifying element is the so-called Perron-Frobenius theorem for non-negative and irreducible matrices, which formulates the conditions for the existence of a positive eigenvalue and a positive eigenvector of the given matrix. The goal of the thesis consists in providing an overview of the necessary theoretical results, explaining their application within some ranking methods and performing simulations during the evaluation of some competitions.
The Comparison of Possibilities of the Medium-Term Investments
HAŠPL, Martin
This bachelor thesis investigates possibilities of the medium-term investments which citizens use to evaluate their free means. The thesis mainly focuses on the unit trust, building savings, saving accounts. The goal is to compare supplies of the companies and products and decide which way or the possibility of investment is the most advantageous according to the chosen criteria. The theoretical review also includes the description of the functioning of the financial market and particular methods of the multiple criteria decision making. The practical part includes ranking of the particular products on the basis of the multiple criteria decision making. The conclusion of the thesis shows andvantages and disadvantages of the particular possibilities of investments and includes recommendation cocerning selection of the product.
Evaluation of current accounts
PLAČKOVÁ, Markéta
The aim of this thesis is to compare the theoretical results of evaluation of current accounts with the practical results of the survey. In the theoretical part were described the selected methods of multi-criteria decision analysis, that makes it possible to evaluate current accounts according to several criterias. It was also carried out a survey which aimed to identify whicg current accounts are used by respondents and what are the conditions for their use. In the practical part were a compared of theoretical and practical results. In conclusion are evaluated the best products and compiled an overview of evaluation accounts used by respondents.
Using Quantitative Methods to Evaluate Life Insurance Products
SUCHÁŇOVÁ, Markéta
The objective of this bachelor thesis titled Using Quantitative Methods to Evaluate Life Insurance Products is to familiarize the reader with life insurance products, explain the various types of supplemental insurance policies, and then apply the method of multicriteria decision-making on life insurance. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the basic terms related to life insurance. Next the thesis explains the methods that are used to determine weights and ranking. The practical part of the thesis focuses on applying these methods. First, our given client was presented with custom-made life insurance offers from 8 different insurers. The client chose the importance rankings of his individual criteria. Following was the application of the weight-determining methods ? the weighted-sum model, the sorted-weights method, the Fuller method, and the weighted sum model with group-wise assignment of weights. Based on the weights obtained from the weight-sum model with group-wise assignment of weights, ranking methods were used (weighted sum model, WSA, TOPSIS). Based on the resuls obtained from the ranking method, a final rank-based ordering was determined, i.e. the offers were sorted from the best to the worst one. As the best offer turned out the EVOLUCE life insurance policy offered by the Česká podnikatelská pojištovna a.s. insurance company.
