Synthesis of triblock terpolymers as a tool for preparation of smart drug delivery nanosystems
Orságh, Martin ; Uchman, Mariusz Marcin (advisor) ; Fernandez Alvarez, Roberto (referee)
In this thesis, we describe the synthesis and self-assembly of new photo-responsive triblock terpolymers by RAFT polymerization. These triblock terpolymers were characterized by GPC, NMR and IR spectroscopy. The resulting nanoparticles were characterized by DLS, SAXS and Cryo-EM. To avoid problems with RAFT polymerization of the photo-responsive monomer o- nitrobenzyl acrylate, we used naphthacyl methacrylate, a new RAFT-polymerizable photo- responsive monomer. In addition, we used phenylboronic acid moieties to conjugate model drugs with our triblock terpolymers via dynamic covalent bonding and studied stimuli-triggered release of a model drug-like compound, Alizarin Red S. Our results showed that naphthacyl methacrylate is indeed polymerizable by RAFT and that such polymers retain photo-responsive properties. We were also able to bind Alizarin Red S to the polymer via boronate ester linkage and trigger its release by dopamine or fructose addition, both of which are biologically relevant compounds. Therefore, our photo- and diol-responsive nanoparticles open up opportunities for developing new drug-delivery systems.

Havlíčková, Lenka ; Frainšic, Michal (advisor) ; Kalkusová, Lucie (referee)
Title: Use of games in nature while canoeing school courses. Objectives: The aim of this work is to create a collection of games usable on school boating courses. This is connected with other subtasks. Studying Czech and foreign literature and writing the most important knowledges related to water tourism and games. And last but not least, approach to the possibility of using games on board. Methods: The work character is research. It is purpose is to gather and organize information about the games in nature, water tourism, and combinations thereof. The following is a logical and structured overview of information ready for any further elaboration and extension. Results: The result is a collection of games usable at school canoeing courses lined up from games to a dry land, through peaceful water, gently flowing water to flowing water. I begin teaching basic skills and training stability on boats up to more challenging exercises and games for the more experienced. Keywords: Games and exercises, water tourism, canoe, raft, children
Travel on water

v anglickém jazyce : The Bachelor Thesis is designed as a one-year visual art project for students in the Art Elementary School between the ages six and thirteen. The theme "Journey on water" portrays a piece of wood from Šumava, floating on the river Vltava in times when wooden rafts were employed. The objective of the project is to reinforce in students a positive attitude to nature and to spark an interest in art and cultural heritage. The structure of the project is based on a story following the piece of wood in different seasons from the river"s source to the Prague"s historical center. It continues as a subsequent line of open creative visual art projects illustrating the wood"s journey to the sea and to the Eastern Island. The entire project culminates in a visit of an exhibition of Jakub Schikaneder and as a collective installation in one of the branches of the Municipal Library "Na Pohorelci" in Prague 1.
