Vyhodnocení úrovně reprodukce skotu a růstové intenzity telat v zemědělském podniku zaměřeném na chov masného skotu
Schild, Marek
The Master´s thesis is focused on the rate of reproduction and growth intensity of calves Aberdeen Angus breed. In the research was monitored the offspring in organic farming located in the Zlín region during the period from 2007 to 2016. Data were obtained from the performance testing of beef cattle and from the register of the farm. There was achieved following values in the reproduction: pregnancy rate after the first insemination 62.5 % in heifers and 60 % in cows, service time 80.7 days, meantime 365.5 days, crude natality 107%, pure natality 102%, live reared calves 93%. It is obvious from these results that the rate of reproduction of this breed is very good. With the growth intensity of calves there was monitored the influence of sire, year and sex on the weight, gains and hip height of offspring. Influence of sire on birth weight, weight at 120, 210 and 365 days of age, gains and height of offspring achieved often highly significant (p < 0.01) differences. Statistically important (p < 0.05) differences in weights of calves due to influence of year were recorded at birth day and at 120 days of age calves, while at 365 days of age calves were revealed significant (p < 0.01) differences in weights and gains between years. In case of the influence of sex between bulls and heifers were revealed highly significant (p < 0.01) differences confirmed generally known principle that the males have a higher birth weight and have a higher growth ability than females.
Vyhodnocení růstové schopnosti potomstva býků specializovaných masných plemen skotu
Večeře, Martin
The thesis is focused on the growth intensity of Aberdeen Angus, Charolais and Limousine. In experiment A, 152 male animals were monitored. These bulls came from organic and conventional breeding. For bulls, the date of birth, birth weight, father's line, date of sale, and live weight of bulls at sale were followed. Experiment B included 88 female heifers. Within each breed heifers came from conventional and organic breeding. Heifers were monitored for birth date, birth weight, father's line, weight at 120 and 210 days. Significant differences (p < 0.01) were found in the evaluation of the weights of individual monitored parameters between bulls and heifers, which are confirmed by the rule that females have lower birth weight (37 kg) than males (40 kg). However, at 120 days of age, weights were higher in heifers (177 kg) compared to bulls (148 kg). In the evaluation of breeding effect, the highest (p < 0.01) weights were found in Charolais (bulls 163 kg, heifers 187 kg).
Vyhodnotenie rastovej intenzity a exteriéru oviec plemena Zwartbles, Suffolk a Charollais

The aim of the thesis was the evaluation of growth intensity of the sheep based on the regular measurement of weight parameters and the measurement of selected indi-vidual body parts of mixed breed of Zwartbles sheep kept at the farm in Mohelno and the breeds of Suffolk and Charollais sheep kept at the School agricultural enterprise Žabčice, in between the years 2013-2015. From the results of the measurements were calculated average daily gains and aver-age live weights during predetermined days. These results were evaluated at the farm in Mohelno using factors such as litter size, sex and size together with sex. At the farm in Žabčice the evaluation was based on factors of litter size, sex, breed and sex together with breed. The statistically significant differences(p-0,05) were shown for the average daily gain in a range from 30th up to 70th day and for the average live weight in the 70th day between singles (229,4 g*day-1 and 20,62kg) and triplets (180,65 g*day-1 and 17,24kg), in the favour of singles of Zwartbles breed and between breeds of Suffolk and Charollais in the favour of muscle height and fat height in 100th day of age, whereby higher results were obtained by Suffolk breed. The results of measurements of length parameters show almost in every groups the statistically significant differences, but in the Zwartbles breed there was not demon-strated any influence of litter size on pelvic measures and also there were not demon-strated any differences between Suffolk and Charollais breeds, with an exception of shin perimeter, where the difference was significant (p-0,01), whereby the higher values were reached by Suffolk breed sheep (9,48 cm) which were fallen behind by Charollais breed sheep (8,85 cm).
