Air conditioning in a family house
Bařinka, Pavel ; Blasinski, Petr (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of my Bachelor's thesis was to design the nearly zero-energy house for a family of four. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is architectural and structure design and it contains also a concept of fire emergency and building's physics. The second part is focused on the building services, especially on the air conditioning. This part includes as well the energy performance certificate and a concept of wastewater and rainwater management, water supply, heating and electric installations. The detached house has two stories and a separated car port. The ground floor is a social space with an open-plan kitchen and a living room, which is open up to deck and garden. Across the corridor is a utility room, a toilet and a workshop. The first floor is a private space with bedrooms and a bathroom. The exterior walls are designed from ceramic blocks and they are insulated with mineral wool. The floor slab is designed from cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The main roof is monopitched with 7° slope, the other roofs are flat. The collected rainwater will be accumulated in a tank and used for watering the garden. The air-water heat pump is a main heat/cool source for a floor heating/cooling, which is designed in the house. As the secondary (bivalent) heat source are used electric heating rods. The domestic hot water will be mainly heated by the heat pump or with the electric spiral. The mechanical ventilation system has total air exchange of 300 m3/h. The MV unit contains an electric safety preheater, an enthalpic exchanger, two EC ventilators, filtres of filtration stages ISO Coarse and ISO ePM 1 and an automatic bypass. In the system was also designed additional water heater and cooler.
Energy-saving family house in Předměřice
Rybář, Aleš ; Vyhlídalová, Karolína (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis aims to design a nZEB detached house. It´s located in Předměřice in a relatively quiet area. The building has two floors with an attached garage, workshop, sanitary facilities and storage room. The building has a cold-pitched roof and the attached part has a mono-pitched roof. The ground floor of the house is a social part with a living room connected to the kitchen, study, bathroom, WC, garage, laundry and utility room. The first floor is a private zone with a master bedroom with a walk-in closet, two bedrooms, a bathroom, a WC and a storage room. The building is based on reinforced concrete foundation strips. The vertical structures are masonry made of ceramic blocks. Horizontal load-bearing structures are made of ceramic blocks and reinforced concrete. The house is connected to the freshwater main and sanitary sewer. Domestic hot water is supplied by the 300 l hot water cylinder. Rainwater from the roofs is accumulated for reuse. The excess water is diverted through the overflow into infiltration. Rainwater from built-up areas is infiltrated into the ground. Heating in the house is provided by an air-water heat pump, which is also used for DHW. The heating system of the house is floor heating in combination with electric radiators. On the cold roof there are placed photovoltaic panels for batteries placed in the utility room. The house is partly ventilated by a mechanical system with a heat recovery. The rest of the rooms that are not part of the living area are ventilated by windows.
Energy-saving building of a family house in Plumlov
Lakomý, Jan ; Vyhlídalová, Karolína (referee) ; Blasinski, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis presents project documentation and building services of a passive house. Irregular but rectangular shape of object was slightly inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright´s simple and sharp concept of Usonian house. On first floor are situated mostly day rooms. Lounge, kitchen-dining room in social zone and mechanical room in work zone. Second floor is exclusively private zone with 3 bedrooms and bathroom. From hall is direct access to terrace. Struc-ture is composed by simple elements. Flat and mono-pitched roof are both designed from reinforced-concrete slabs, in ground, there are foundation strips. Whole wall structural system is designed from sand-lime blocks. In second half, the thesis concerns design and performance of build-ing services, employing an air source heat pump. Heat produced will be used for hot and heating water, stored in a cylinder. During summer spells, the reverse mode will produce cool water to provide cooling in thermally acti-vated ceiling slabs. Finally, a mechanical ventilation unit with heat recovery has been designed. Ducts are laid above soffit in both halls leading into eve-ry room. The house lays on a big site with one detention storage and two swales. With a photovoltaic array on the roof, the A-class rating of the house attests to its exceptional energy efficiency.
Single-family house
Minár, Ján ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Struhala, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design a nearly zero-energy detached house. The first section of the thesis focuses on documentation for building permission, while the second section addresses building services as its main topic. Within the first section, assessments related to fire safety, daylight, acoustic properties, and thermal parameters are included. The house is located in the suburbs of Prague on a level plot and is designed as a two-story house with a pair of mono-pitched roofs. Reinforced concrete foundation strips form the basis of its structure. Aerated concrete blocks are used for the construction of partition walls, load-bearing walls, and the floor structure. The living room and kitchen are situated on the first story, intended to serve as the social area of the house. The private area comprises a master bedroom with a walk-in closet and its own bathroom. The second story houses three bedrooms and another bathroom, serving as a private area. In the second section, I have created a conceptual plan that addresses cooling, the heating system, harnessing energy from photovoltaic panels, effective rainwater management within the plot, wastewater treatment, and electric installations. My primary focus was on designing the ventilation system with a heat recovery unit. For both heating and cooling needs, I chose an air-water heat pump. For heating, I designed a floor heating system complemented by electric towel radiators to ensure optimal comfort in both bathrooms. Fancoil units provide cooling. Additionally, the documentation includes the Building's Energy Performance Certificate, providing an overview of the building's energy efficiency.
Kindergarten

The supporting structure consists of a precast concrete frame supplemented in the basement by a cast-in-place wall and a foundation slap. External walls and partitions form sand-lime bricks Sendwich. The external walls are completed with Orsilt TF Profi mineral insulation th. 280 mm. The floors are made of prestressed concrete floor slabs Spiroll PPD 256 th. 250 mm supported by T and L primary beams. The building ends with a could extensive green roof. The slope and space for the blow-in insulation Climatizer Plus uses Steico Joist 400 I-beams. Windows are wooden frame Optiwin Purista and doors are Optiwin Entrada.
