Quality of continuity of crisis intervention at IRS in the South Bohemian Region.
ROSENDORFOVÁ, Lenka
In emergencies where a person is in crisis and a component of the integrated system intervenes, the client is provided with crisis intervention. After crisis intervention is provided on site, the client seeks follow-up assistance, which may be provided by non-profit organizations through crisis assistance. The thesis focuses on the analysis of the continuity of crisis assistance and the interconnection of the IZS units with the entities providing follow-up assistance. The first part of the thesis explains the key concepts, which are drawn from the literature, divided into chapters. The second part of the thesis provides a description of the research investigation together with its results. Qualitative research, survey method and semi-structured interview technique were used. The research investigation has identified scope for adjusting the continuity of crisis assistance and the possibility of involving new organisations.
Scope of psychosocial assistance provided by Fire and Rescue Service of South Bohemian Region in dealing with emergencies and in protecting people
ZÍKA, Václav
The thesis deals with the psychosocial assistance and the entire complex of associated activities which have become a standard in helping people who have been affected by extraordinary events, critical situations and by the actions which are connected with the protection of people. The activities have become the standard in daily work of members of the Fire Rescue Service of South Bohemian Region, as well as of some other institutions, which are parties of the integrated rescue system, during their cooperation and joint intervention. Extraordinary events of various intensity, frequency and extent affect lives of people. The state creates various tools and measures and strives to be ready for harmful effects of these phenomena, address them effectively and minimize their impact. The Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic is the guarantor in this field; its work is based on Act No. 320/2015 Coll., On Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, as amended. The main task of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic is, among others, to protect lives and health of citizens of the Czech Republic. To fulfil its mission, the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic also provides psychosocial assistance to affected people during performing their rescue and relief activities. In that way, the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic develops its care and responds to overall needs of the citizens of the Czech Republic. Such an offer to citizens is expanded even further during joint interventions of more parties of the integrated rescue system. Act no. 239/2000 Coll., On the Integrated Rescue System, as amended, sets the possibilities of coordination and the broad platform of collaboration and cooperation with other important governmental and nongovernmental organizations and institutions. The aim of my thesis was to evaluate the entire complex of activities of psychosocial assistance to people affected by exceptional events. Having known the theoretical sources and especially after the subsequent evaluation of my qualitative research, I wanted to make some suggestions and recommendations for changes and improvements in providing psychosocial assistance. I have formulated five research questions which reflect the full scope of the examined issues. The thesis is divided into two parts: a standard theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part includes the research and analysis of scientific literature and related laws which deal with the tasks of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, psychological services, parties of the integrated rescue system and primarily with the psychosocial assistance. The practical part implements the tried and tested qualitative survey, which has been carri

Psychosocial assistance to parents in perinatal loss
KÜMMELOVÁ, Magda
This work deals with possibilities of psychosocial assistance to parents in perinatal loss. The introduction is a short treatise on the subject of death, followed by the topic of stillborn children regarded from the viewpoint of of human dignity, and an insight into the theory of social work and the role of the (psycho) social worker. The problem of burnout syndrome in the helping professions is also mentioned. Statistics in terms of perinatal deaths from the period between 2013 to 2015 are briefly presented as well as definitions or explanations of certain terms used in the work. The subsequent chapters describe the situation of mothers before and after finding out about the child's death. It is followed by a detailed introduction of criteria for the research conducted both by the qualitative and quantitative form and is supplemented by casuistry. Everything is summarised and put into context in the ensuing discussion, and more generally summarised in the conclusion of the whole work which demonstrated the need for expert-recommended possibilities of psychosocial assistance to parents in perinatal loss (naming the child, physical contact of parents with the child, getting of objects commemorating the child, funeral - farewell to the child, information about the burial site of the child). The work also pointed out the appropriateness of including a psychosocial worker in the multidisciplinary team in healthcare facilities. The contribution of this work is the possibility of its practical use as an aid in healthcare facilities where perinatal deaths occur.
Psychosomatics overload exposures in casual realationship with extraordinary events experiences.
KREJČOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis deals with the effects of traumatic experience from extraordinary events on psychosomatic manifestations in members of the Integrated Rescue System (IRS). Psychosomatic manifestations are caused by interactions between the soul and the body, i.e. effects of the physical condition on the mental condition and vice versa. The effects are also interconnected with the social environment of the afflicted person. It is therefore necessary to take care of all the so-called biopsychosocial human needs. The theoretical part describes psychosomatics as a discipline. It deals with the symptoms, general psychotherapy and historical development of psychosomatics. Further, it discusses the possibility of crisis intervention and specific risks of activities performed by the individual IRS components. The practical part of the thesis monitored the effects of traumatic experiences on members of the Fire Rescue Service corps, Medical Emergency Service and Police of the Czech Republic. The aim was to determine the gravity of this problem and to jointly find possible solutions. The results have shown show that there is a certain level of negative impact and therefore it is important to focus on preventive measures to avoid serious complications.
