74 Hosting Treaties between States and International Organisations Abstract This thesis is focused on so called hosting treaties between states and international organizations. First the necessary prerequisites for international organizations to conclude a treaty are analysed. Which is the need of international organizations to be a subject of public international law, theories discussed are the will theory, objective theory, and theory of presumed personality. Furthermore, the powers of international organisations are examined, and theories of expressed powers, implied powers and inherent powers are explained. Hosting treaties are first discussed in general, together with other relevant types of international treaties, which are the founding treaties of international organizations often containing at least a general provision on privileges and immunities of the organization. The second relevant type of treaties are multilateral treaties concerning privileges and immunities as is for example the Convention on privileges and immunities of United Nations. French diplomacy has a long and rich history; it used to be one of the most important players on the international scene and even in the present it seeks to influence it. The aim of this thesis is to describe how this country by force of the internal legislation regulates the status of its diplomatic agents and how it treats foreign representatives who come here to assume the Foreign Service. It's generally known that France is a country with complicated administrative apparatus, bureaucracy and system of precepts of law. We can suppose that the diplomatic one will be alike and this thesis attempts to overcome these difficulties.
The Privileges and Immunities of the officials and servants of the EC and the EU

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present the privileges and immunities enjoyed by the officials and servants of the EU and other persons taking part in the work of the EU and to compare these privileges and immunities and their extent with the regulation of the international law. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first one offers a survey of the sources of the prvileges and immunities legal regulation and covers the development of the main document -- Protocol on the privileges and immunities of the European Union. The second chapter deals with the personal and factual scope of the privileges and immunities and with the waiver of the immunity. The last part of the thesis examines the status of the international officials in terms of the international law and compares the Protocol on the privileges and immunities of the EU with the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations, the Agreement Between the United Nations and the United States Regarding the Headquarters of the United Nations and with the General Agreement on Privileges and Immunities of the Council of Europe.
Privileges and immunities of family members

In its first part, the thesis emphasizes on the definition of family members of the envoys acting on the territory of a foreign state. Subsequently, it analyses particular privileges and immunities that belong to the families of various categories of envoys on the basis of international law documents - mainly the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations which forms the centre of the codification of the system of privileges and immunities. The last part of the thesis adverts to the right of all states to regulate the position of family members within international law in national provisions, instructions, protocol rules or circular notes.
