Water Management Analysis of Reservoir Storage Capacity Due to Climate Change
Šenková, Monika ; Menšík, Pavel (referee) ; Marton, Daniel (advisor)
The aim of this work is a water management solution of the storage volume of the Vlachovice reservoir in the conditions of climate change. Due to the long-term drought and flood period, the Czech Republic decided to build multi-purpose reservoirs. One of them is the multi-purpose water reservoir Vlachovice. The tanks are designed for a certain storage volume, which is calculated from the flow series in a given water profile. Flows on watercourses are conditioned by climatic and geomorphological conditions. Climatic conditions are constantly changing and significantly affect flows. It is difficult to determine the future of water flows. Future flows are generated based on measured values ??and expected climate change using mathematical models. In this work, just these two scenarios of the future of flow series depending on the amount of precipitation and temperature changes are compared.

The change of the rain factor on the net of stations in the Czech Republic during 1961-2010
Střeštík, Jaroslav ; Rožnovský, J. ; Štěpánek, P. ; Zahradníček, P.
Precipitation totals do not express precisely the humidity conditions in the landscape. Therefore the Lang’s rain factor, constructed from monthly and annual average temperatures and precipitation totals on 267 stations in the Czech Republic during 1961-2010, has been used here. Its values are very different at different stations, the lowest they are at South Moravia and Labe lowlands. Its average for the whole territory displays a slow decrease during the 50 years, supplemented by strong fluctuations. The strongest decrease appears in the Northern boundary mountains. The same factor calculated only for summer displays stronger differences between highlands and lowlands, especially in South Moravian ones. Stronger decrease at North Moravia, especially in mountains, and very weak decrease at other parts takes place.
The course of precipitation totals and water flows in rivers during the 20th century
Střeštík, Jaroslav
Whereas mean air temperatures have increased during the 20th century, though supplemented by considerable fluctuations, and increase further, mean precipitation totals in Prague as well as in the whole Bohemia during the same period slightly decrease. At the same time also mean annual flows in Vltava in Prague and in Labe in Děčín decrease. This decrease is a little less rapid than the decrease of precipitation totals. This fact means that the part of water from atmospheric precipitation which flows way from our territory slowly increases and relatively smaller part remains. This trend appears in summer more than in other seasons. The increasing portion of water which flows away from our territory is caused by the decreasing ability of soil to absorb the water.
