Microprocessor Controlled Power Measurement System for Frequencies below 10GHz
Klíma, Martin ; Lukeš, Zbyněk (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design a microprocessor controlled power measurement system which is based on the logarithmic detector AD8317, then to create a printed circuit board and to test its functioning. The logarithmic detector AD8317 is acceptable for measurement of high frequency signal’s power of the level between approx. –55 dBm and – 3 dBm in the frequency bandwidth of 1 MHz to 10 GHz. Its output provides DC voltage which is corresponding to the decibel-scaled level of the input signal. This is suitable for A/D conversion and digital processing by the microprocessor. The result of the work is a complete measurement system.
Multichannel RF power meter
Hradňanský, Vladimír ; Povalač, Aleš (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
In this work is an analysis of methods for measuring high-frequency power, then the design and implementation of multi-channel processor controlled high-frequency power meter. The device enables communication via USB or RS232 port, correction and calibration calculations stored on the SD card devices, measurement results displayed on the LCD display. The meter is able to of three different probes measure the performance of up to 8 GHz. Built-in 40 dB attenuator allows measurements up to a frequency of 2.5 GHz with power up to 100 W. A complete functional test tool including three types of probes, measuring unit, and software are the results of this work.
