Steam ejector pump
Třináctý, Jan ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (advisor)
The aim of this theses is to do search about maintaining vaccum in surface condensors and subsequently propose basic dimension of one stage steam ejector. The first part deals with the issue of vacuum. The following part is dedicated to description of various types of vacuum pumps. Hence it describes the principle of operation of each pump as well as their output. The following part deals with vacuum and vacuum technology in the field of power engineering. This part is dedicated to those types of vacuum pumps that are used in power engineering, especially to steam ejectors which are most widely used. The final part is addressed to the design of single stage steam ejector. This part contains the calculation of pump dimension. The conclusion evaluates the design of one stage steam ejector.
Elimination of Surface Condensation on Glassing and Connection Joints of a Wooden Window
Vorlíčková, Petra ; Kalousek, Miloš
One of the weakest points of the building envelope is the filling of the openings. On the surface of the windows, the temperature often drops below the dew point and surface condensation occurs. The work deals with the study of the lowest internal surface temperatures at a wooden window at the connection joints of the glazing and at the location of the window sill. An aluminum strip of various thicknesses using patented technology is used as a remedy. Thanks to the conductivity of the material, heat is brought to the critical area and the surface temperature is increased. With the help of computer modeling, variants of the bar design and the possibility of mounting the frame in the wall were tested in order to achieve the highest efficiency of the bar.
Effect of Heat Transfer Resistance on the Lowest Internal Window Surface Temperature
Vorlíčková, Petra ; Kalousek, Miloš
When assessing the lowest internal surface temperature, it is good to take into account the issue of air flow in the room, which is simply anchored in the form of resistance to heat transfer. The given standard values may in fact vary, and this affects the resulting surface temperatures. In this work, an aluminum strip is applied as a conductive material from the interior to critical points of detail of the window sill of a wooden window and the resistance to heat transfer varies. More precisely, the connection joint is solved for the glazing to the window frame and further for the frame to the wall. We monitor the behavior of the bar with different shapes and thicknesses of material and the depth of the frame in the wall and glazing in the frame. The results showed how much resistance the heat transfer resistance can have on the interior side.
Thermal technical faults in the context of their possible impact on the price of real estate
Hlavsa, Petr ; Rašovská, Lucie
Thermal technical faults of buildings do not immediately mean life threatening danger in comparison with momentous static faults. However, it’s not possible to underrate them. On the one hand they can carry an increased requirement of energy, on the other they very often endanger sound living conditions and thermal comfort. Even the possible reduction in the esthetic value of a space, which is affected by a fault, is not negligible. The occurrence of surface condensation is a frequent manifestation from fault. Often times this condensation accompanies the formation of mold on the surface of a structure. This article deals with possible ways to detect this kind of a fault, shows feasible data analysis from flaw detection, and suggests possible remedies to eliminate the effects of this fault. These remedies are further analyzed in terms of the potential impact on the price of real estate, namely on the price of dwelling affected by humidity fault.
