Faktory ovlivňující reprodukční ukazatele prasnic
CHOUTKOVÁ, Martina
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to analyse individual reproductive indicators in selected breeding parameters (the number of all piglets born, live born piglets, and wean piglets, wean to insemination interval, a farrowing interval, the age at the first insemination and the percentage of gravid and farrowed sows after insemination). The results of the reproductive indicators, for an observed period of a time, are compared between farms and confronted with the results of other authors. From the researched subjects there were 29 867 births of sows and gilts, from June 2019 to July 2020, in which an average were born 15.1 piglets out of which 13.8 were live born and 11.8 were weaned. The average wean to insemination interval was 6.1 days, and the average farrowing interval was 150.8 days. The gilts were inseminated approximately at the age of 265 days. 93,1 % of all inseminations ended in gravidity.
Problematika chovu vysoce plodných prasnic
Chudá, Magdalena
Bachelor thesis concerns with issues of highly fertile sows. The thesis describes the current level of reproduction of sows in the Czech Republic and its welfare implications. It also deals with specific factors affecting litter size such as sow nutrition and exposure to stressors, risk of giving birth to a large number of piglets, anatomy of the mammary gland of a highly fertile sow and the quality and quantity of colostrum and breast milk. The thesis is also focused on other chosen factors affecting the prosperity of piglets such as gestation and intrauterine crowding, placental nutrition, birth difficulties, low birth weight, and establishment of the teat order. Further more, the work describes methods of management of sow breeding and rearing piglets, which improve their lives and welfare. These include tooth reduction, split suckling, cross–fostering, nurse sow system, split weaning, supplementary feeding of milk and artificial breeding of piglets in incubators.
Analýza výrobních a ekonomických ukazatelů při odchovu selat
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Lenka
The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the reproductive performance of sows corporate program Czech PIC in a commercial breeding Ratiboř, Agricultural Cooperative Chyšky district Písek. The observed breeding herd was formed on December 31, 2016 with 119 sows and gilts. To evaluate the reproductive performance, the breeding-cows were divided into breeding sows inseminated and not inseminated, sow for 1st to 2nd litters (risk litters), 3rd to 5th litters (litter production) and for the 6th and higher. The breeding sows are frequently inseminated between 230th 269th day of life. In 2016, on average 25.2 live-born units were born per sow. The number of weaned piglets was at level of 21.8, it means the values were below the desired optimum. Good results were found in the length of intervening time (155.3 days), and the associated number of litters per sow. Sows reach 2.4 litters per year, and there is no problem with the beginning of rut after weaning. A rut mostly occurs on 4th and 5th day after weaning. The total cost for sows amounted to CZK 676,519.43 per year, when 1 kg of weaned pig costs CZK 53.75.
Analýza užitkových vlastností základního stáda prasnic.
KORABIKOVÁ, Xenie
The aim of the paper is to evaluate the status of breeding work in the reserve stock for selective breeding in Czech Landrace pigs. Evaluation covers the reproductive and productive indicators. The sows of the base stock are split into four groups by age structure: gilts, sows with risk litters, sows with production litters and sows with litter 6 or more. Evaluation covers reproductive indicators, i.e. fertility (number of piglets born, number of live-born piglets and number of surviving piglets) and milk production. The enterprise under evaluation achieved an average of 13 live-born piglets and 11 surviving piglets per sow and litter; the farrowing interval is seven days longer compared with what is normally reported as the best time. Evaluation covers the results of individual performance in gilts and male pigs according to the methodology for field tests. For individual performance, the assessment covers the average daily gain (g), the average backfat thickness (mm) and lean meat percentage (%). The herd shows a smaller gain, while backfat thickness and lean meat percentage is comparable with the population. Key words: Number of piglets, sow, fertility, performance
The analysis of utility parameters in selected pig breeding
ŠIKÝŘ, Martin
The aim of this study is to evaluate the reproductive and productive indicators of Landrace pig breeding. Sows of basic herd and breeding nucleus are divid into four groups according to the age of the gilts, sows at risk litters, the sows producing litters and sows for 6 or more litters. Reproductive indicators of sows, fertility (number of piglets born, number of piglets born alive, number of piglets weaned) and milk production, are evaluat. Comparing the results of the observed Landrace pig herd population in the Czech Republic, it found that better results are achieved by breeding Landrace population. The achievement in the observed enterprise is 15.8 ? 2.2 units of all piglets born in a litter, 14.4 ? 2.3 units of piglets born alive per litter and number of piglets wean per litter is 9.4 ? 1.6 piglets. Population reaches fewer piglets born in a litter and more of the preserv. This proves that breeding must seek to reduce differences between piglets born and preserv. This is relat to milk production of sows, which is also below the average for the whole population. Furthermore, the results of the performance of gilts and male pigs according to the methodology for field testing are evaluat. For performance testing the average backfat thickness (mm) of lean meat (%) and average daily gain (g) in the unified testing are assessed. Population achieves better results in the proportion of lean muscle in both gilts and male pigs for both monitoring years. The greatest difference is reach in 2013 with male pigs and that is about 7%. Backfat thickness is on average about 1 mm higher than the reference breeding population. Nowadays the interest in breeding animals is decreasing. In 2013, 3 male pigs and 88 gilts were sold.
Analysis of the influences acting on the reproductive performance of sows
JANDOVÁ, Markéta
The purpose of this dissertation is the evaluation of the fertility and the reproduction index of the sows in the breeding of the agricultural cooperative Lukavec. The herd of sows was divided into three groups according to age structure of the sows in the risk litter (litters 1 and 2), the sows in the production litters (litters 3 ? 5) and the sows in 6 and more litters. The reproduction process is influenced by a lot of impacts endogenous and exogenous.
