Study of influence degradation to fotovoltaic cells properties
Tulková, Tereza ; Sládek, Petr (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
The thesis examines degradation of photovoltaic cells and modules. Degradation assessment was based on the data gathered from the photovoltaic system installed at the Pedagogical Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno, Poříčí 31. The research focuses on influence of external factors on the amount of power supplied to the grid by the system. Theoretical part of the thesis summarizes state-of-the-art knowledge about photovoltaic conversion and devices taking the advantage of the principle. The first part of the thesis describes production and application of photovoltaic cells and their impact on the environment. Second part of the thesis deals with the principle of photovoltaic conversion. Next part lists materials used for the production of photovoltaic cells and the process of encapsulation. The fourth part summarizes knowledge about degradation of photovoltaic panels. Experimental part of the thesis statistically analysis the data gathered from the above mentioned power plant. Influence of degradation factors (surface temperature of PV panel, air temperature, wind velocity and radiation intensity) on effectiveness of energy conversion was examined in particular. The published results can be applied on analysis of new projects and/or used for modification of production technological processes.
Usage of bypass diodes for photovoltaics modules
Chocholáč, Jan ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Křivík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with usage of bypass diodes in photovoltaic panels. Familiarize us with principles of photovoltaic modules and functions, their electrical characteristics and features. The central objective of this work is description of influence of bypass diodes on particularly shading photovoltaic panels and its volt-ampere characteristics. By the help of created software in Agilent VEE 8.0 simulate the shading panel and compare with real measurement.

Critical analysis of the current legislative framework for the disposal of photovoltaic modules and its economic evaluation
Zemková, Lenka ; Vojáček, Ondřej (advisor) ; Matula, Miloš (referee)
The Czech Republic has approximately 2 126 MWp of photovoltaic installed power capacity, most of the capacity was installed during the "solar boom" period around year 2010. Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment led to the amendment of Act no. 185/2001 Coll. on Waste and the Decree no. 178/2013 Coll., which set the photovoltaic power plant operator´s obligation to pay a contribution for the module´s future recycling. The current rate for calculating the minimum total amount of the contribution is set at CZK 8.50/kg of module. The current amount of the contribution is a subject to criticism. The diploma thesis analyzes public administrations on issues of environmental protection and tools that may be used to motivate polluters. The thesis proposes a new amount of recycling contribution at the amount of CZK 5.2-7.8/kg. Huge temporal inconsistency is the most dangerous risk in determining the contribution, which may threaten many variables essential for the whole calculation.
