There is preliminary mentioned an importance of producing electrical energy from renewable sources and development of photovoltaic systems. The body of the thesis is divided into seven chapters. At first, there is described the principle of transformation solar radiation into electrical energy. Then, the description of types of barrier-layer photocells follows. The types are divided according to their structure and material, which are they produced from. The third chapture is focused on production and construction of photovoltaic modules. Ways, how can be production of electricity increased, are mentioned in the fourth chapture. Advantages and disadvantages of solar concentrators are given there. In the fifth chapture there are described two basic kinds of connection of photovoltaic system. Different ways of taking-off produced electricity are related with those kinds of connection. The last chapture is the fundamental chapture of the thesis. There is given a project of concrete photovoltaic system. For this system is calculated economic return of investment included supposed increase of prices of electricity. In conlusion the author noticed events that would be given and emphasized the outcome of concerete project of photovoltaic system.

Kaliyev, Alexey ; Jandová, Kristýna (referee) ; Novák, Vítězslav (advisor)
The work is focused on problems of perovskite photovoltaic cells. The theoretical part describes the properties of perovskite structure, its composition and use in solar cells. There is also a brief information on silicon-based solar cells, which is followed by a comparison of the two systems. The measurement methods, which this stated and described here are used to understand problematics photovoltaic, determination of efficiency, stability and durability of the solar cell. In the practical part will focus on the application of these methods, discussion and evaluation of results.
System for electroluminiscence defect detection of solar cells
Marčík, Silvestr ; Jandová, Kristýna (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The master thesis focuses primarily on issues of photovoltaic cells in terms of their defects. The introductory part deals with the history of photovoltaics, their introduction into practice and finally an explanation of the photoelectric effect itself. The thesis also describes photovoltaic cells themselves. It explains their principle, advantages, disadvantages and the creation of photovoltaic systems. A substantial part of the work is focused on the topic of detection of defects using luminescent methods. Subsequently, it describes procedural defects arising from the improper handling of already manufactured products. The final part deals with the main topic of the work, which is a detection using luminescence methods and it also mentions the non-luminescence method LBIC. The practical part of the master thesis contains the analysis of the current solution and of the subsequent proposal of solution using a low cost camera. It describes how to modify the camera, verify its spectral sensitivity using a spectrometer and measure the sensitivity of the CMOS sensor. The conclusion is focused on verifying the functionality of the proposed solution on different sources of infrared radiation and photovoltaic panels themselves.
Draft methodology for processing and evaluation of long-term measurements on PV Panel
Žák, Tomáš ; Šlezingr, Jan (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis aims to analyse the physical theory behind the photovoltaic cells and propose extension measurements for a modernised on-line laboratory. The first part of this thesis describes the theory of the photovoltaic conversion of solar energy into electricity. The p-n junction is described in detail because of its importance for a thorough understanding of the subject. The temperature dependence of a photovoltaic panel, i.e. the negative impact of rising temperature on the output power, is also described here. The contributions of this thesis include a summary of the current situation and the system of state subsidies for the current year as well as a proposal for an extension of measurements in an on-line laboratory, which is to be modernised, at the Department of Power Engineering. Therefore, the thesis includes some specific proposals of graphic dependence, which have a significant information value, and a possible further extension of the laboratory with new measuring and measured elements, which would be helpful for deeper understanding of the subject. In particular, it would be useful for understanding which factors influence the output power of a photovoltaic panel, both significantly and less significantly, which is undoubtedly the most important point.
Possibility of using alternative sources of energy in manufacturing facility
Malchar, Jakub ; Skála, Zdeněk (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The Master’s Thesis prospects the suitability of installing a photovoltaic system and a cogeneration unit in the LIPOELASTIC manufacturing facility and proposes their actual realization. Theoretical part describes said facility, its current energy supply situation and presents the proposed realizations' principle of operation. Practical part contains concrete calculations needed for realizations' proposal and their economic evaluation both independently and jointly.
Backup power supply with solar panel charging
Křepela, Pavel ; Götthans, Tomáš (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This project aims to create a backup power source with solar charging for small mobile devices (through USB connector). The charger should store power in a battery that is charged either from external power source or the solar panel. In the introduction, the work deals with the theory of solar cells and batteries. Furthermore, it described the selection of suitable components and design diagram.
Renewable resources of energy in Czech republic
Truhlář, Marek ; Fortelný, Zdeněk (referee) ; Chroboczek, Libor (advisor)
The content of this bachelor study is a technical recherche of the renewable resources of energy in the Czech republic. In the first part of the study there are described individual kinds of renewable resources of energy. The principle, the usage potential in Czech republic, some advantages and disadvantages about every topic are mentioned. In the second part the study is focused on usage of solar energy in the Czech Republic. The present state of used barrierlayer photocells and solar collectors is decribed in this part. PV plant performance evaluation and optimization
Špinar, Marek ; Ptáček, Michal (referee) ; Morávek, Jan (advisor)
The Master´s thesis deals with issues of operational performance of two photovoltaic power plants. In the thesis is stated the history of photovoltaics, description of photovoltaic effect, used materials and production technology of the most used material in PV industry – Silicon. The basic parts and parameters of photovoltaic power plant are described. Thesis also solves, how could be done the first and periodically control due to relevant directives. The ways of diagnostics potentional failures, methods of measuring and the exam of monitoring system are stated. Practice part is focused on measuring and comparing operational performance of FVE Kurdějov and FVE Šakvice II. Operational performance was calculated from exported data for years 2014 and 2015. The thesis also contains measuring of each string connected to inventors, which are installed on the power plant. The result is an identification of strings with decreased operational performance. Based on that was created recommendations for optimalization and increase of the performance. The last part is software for simulation of photovoltaic power plant. This SW calculates potentional energy, which could be produced in a day with available data export. The calculation is defined by parameters, which are assigned.
