Utilization of circuit elements described by fractional-order dynamics in analog phase shifters
Zedka, Radim ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
This document deals with fractional passive dipole structures, their mathematical description, design methods and practical use with respect to limited frequency range. Two fractional dipole design methods are being described while one of them is used for practical realization of three fractional dipole samples. All of them are well measured and documented. Analog phase shifters implementing this fractional-order dipole are being discussed theoretically and they are practically constructed and measured. Concisely the fractional-order two-port design method implementing biquadratic filters is described.
Synchronnous detection of modulated optical signals
Poliak, Juraj ; Szabó, Zoltán (referee) ; Drexler, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with common features of synchronous detection system of modulated optical signals. Theoretical aspects of design as well as separate parts of system design will be discussed. In conclusion, the complete circuitry design will be presented, realized and his functionality will be tested on optical experiment.
Beam Shaping Circuits for L Band Antenna
Kalina, Ladislav ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis contains design of beamforming network designed for passive radar antennas. The first part contains theory of passive radars and beamforming networks. The next part implies design of beamforming network at the block digram level. Then are choosed circuits for amplitude and phase control, including the design of control communication. It follows by realization of IQ phase shifter and his automatic measurement. Based on this results is phase shifter adjusted and PCB of 2x2 beamforming network is designed. Last part includes design of control application (Matlab) and control program for STM32F407VG microcontroller.
Analog Phase Shifters of Fractional Order
Zedka, Radim
This paper brings some general knowledge about linear analog fractional-order phase shifters. These useful building blocks can perform continuous phase shift with adjustable userdefined asymptotic values. Design process starts with predefined transfer function in which at least single fractional-order passive two-terminal device is needed. These elements are made as approximations in limited frequency range by using fully passive ladder structures where only resistors and capacitors are employed.
