Kindergarten climate as a starting point for a child - centred model

The thesis deals with the climate in kindergarten and the personality-oriented model. The aim of the thesis is to explore the relationship between the kindergarten climate and the personality-oriented philosophy. In a narrower focus, the thesis examines personal well-being, the setting of the kindergarten teacher, and her interaction with the children. In the theoretical part, the author defines the concept of school climate, personal well-being, the personality- oriented model and its characteristics, the personality of the child, the personality of the teacher, and the relationships in kindergarten in connection with the implementation of the personality-oriented model. In the research part, the correlation and interconnectedness of these relationships are examined in the operation of three selected kindergartens. The correlations are examined through classroom observations and based on individual interviews with teachers and school principals. The collected data show different settings and approaches in individual schools and classrooms, various methods of work and communication of teachers with children, and also a different depth of understanding of the topic of the personality-oriented model. The personal well-being at work of the probation officer

The work focuses on the personal well-being, specifically in the work environment, of officials of the Probation and Mediation Service at the center in Prague. The method of solving the problem is qualitative research, for which data were collected using prearranged interviews with randomly selected officials of the center. The aim of the research was to map individual areas of personal well-being for individual respondents. The method of comparison and contrast was used in the data analysis, the data are then interpreted and made clear in the created tables. The result of the research is more frequent positive comments from the respondents on the given topics, no significant difference was detected between people with a shorter and longer tenure at the center, in some opinions, center leaders differ from their subordinates or from officials with little work experience. In addition, deviant and contrasting answers appeared in the interviews. The validity of the data was subsequently discussed in the Discussion chapter, there is a possibility of distortion of the answers due to the recent relocation of the center or due to the questions presented to the respondent in advance. Subjective well-being and job satisfaction of teachers in secondary schools

The theoretical part of this thesis will define the concept of life and job satisfaction, as well as factors affecting life satisfaction and it´s measurement methods. In relation to life satisfaction, thesis will also investigate issues of personality and the teaching profession. The practical part will be focused on the degree of life and job satisfaction of selected sample of second grade elementary school´s teachers, but not only the overall level of life satisfaction, but also the satisfaction of teachers in various areas of life. Linkage between different areas of life and overall life satisfaction will be also examined in this thesis. The relationship of these two phenomena to demographic data and finally the relationship between life satisfaction and personality factors.
