Development of Orienteering in Chotěboř

Title: Development of Orienteering in Chotěboř Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to create appropriate conditions for the development of orienteering in Chotěboř. Projects by Development Commision of Czech Orienteering Federation should be realized to accomplish this goal.The first project to be done is designing permanent orienteering course and updating the map Za humny for this project. The second project is organizing a race to celebrate World Orienteerig day. Methods: The work described in the thhesis was carried out based on literature search and my own experiences with organizing and participating in orienteering races. Firstly, the projects to be done had been chosen. Secondly, the task list to fulfill these projects was made. And in the final stage the projects were realized and a report was written. Results: The practical output of this bachelor thesis is an areal of permanent courses Za humny with an updated map with the same name. To celebrate the World Orienteering day, 302 Chotěboř runners assisted with setting a new world record in the number of participants in orienteering events in one day.
