Rozvojové možnosti mikroregionu na vnitřní periferii Česka (případová studie Bystřice nad Pernštejnem)

The diploma thesis deals with the development possibilities of the microregion Bystřicko. Basic terms and issues of a municipal development on the inner periphery of the Czech Republic are defined in the thesis. In the practical part, there is a complex characteristic of the researched microregion described. Furthermore, it also describes the possibilities of a partial solution of reduction the uranium ore by any other industry. Based on the acquired findings, the SWOT analysis is provided and the development possibilities of microregion Bystřicko are evaluated. The result of the diploma thesis is a coherent view of the development possibilities of the microregion that is cartographically, photographically and graphically documented.
The social-economic polarization in Czech Republic

This thesis main topic is the social-economic polarization in Czech Republic and its development process within past two decades. The main aim is to define growth poles with positive social-economic development and peripheric areas with stagnating or negative development. Consequently the secondary aim of this thesis is to confirm or disprove hypothesis resulting from Myrdal's theory of cumulative causation: "Growth poles grow faster over time and conversly peripheric areas decline further over years." In next step growing and peripheric regions are described and the possible causes of develepment within this areas are interpreted. Leading theories of regional development focusing on social-economic growth polarization are described in the theoretical part. The emphasis is on core -- periphery theories with main focus on theory of cummulative causation by Gunnar Myrdal.
Time accessibility of public service centers in selected districts of South Bohemian region (Český Krumlov, České Budějovice, Jindřichův Hradec)

This Bachelor´s thesis deals with time accessibility of centers of administrative districts of municipalities with extended powers from cadaster units covered under these centers in three selected districts of South Bohemian region. The author examines Český Krumlov district, České Budějovice district and Jindřichův Hradec district. The thesis presents a theoretical overview of transport accessibility, its development and importance. The thesis also focuses on topics of transport services and peripheral areas. There are also sociogeographical demarcations of selected districts with emphasis on the transport infrastructure and the residentital structure. The main aim of this thesis is analysis and comparison of time accessibility of public and private transport in three monitored districts and also creation of map outputs which graphically illustrate this analysis.
Euroregions and euroregionalism in Czech republic and European union

The subject of my dissertation is the information process in reference to euroregionalism and the origin of euroregions in the area of EU and especially Czech republic. I will focus on the fundamental causes of the european cross-border cooperation and the historical roots of first euroregion's origin -- the theoretical and practical resources of the euroregion's inception and operation. I will examine the legislative and institutional assurance of euroregions -- documents (for instance the implication of the Madrid agreement) and principles that result from the european and national legislation, on which the foundation of the euroregions functions. The euroregion legislation specifications in the countries of central and eastern Europe and especially Czech republic will also be mentioned. In the next section of my dissertation I will focus on the euroregion's definition, which occur in Czech republic -- the origin's causes and the historical roots, the financial framework (the inner sources of cross-border cooperation's financing, European funds and enterprises etc.). The objective of the practical part of the dissertation will be the evaluation of the executed cross-border cooperation benefits for the development of the peripheral area.
