Detection of the Border between West and East Europe by using Mental Maps

The bachelor´s thesis deals with the topics of European duality and the subconscious perception of this phenomen by students of geography from selected European coutries. The aim of the thesis is to discover, where respondents, in the most cases university student of geography, from selected European countries define the border of duality by using mental maps. Another goal is the subsequent comparison of individual national perspectives. The research is focused mainly on Central European countries, of which the survey took place in Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. Part of the research took place before of the creation of this bachelor´s thesis and the author of this research RNDr. et PhDr. Aleš Nováček, Ph. D. provided data for this thesis. Another part of the research is a part of this thesis. Results are analysed in the analytical and synthetic part. In the analytical part of the thesis is a space for individual national views separately, in the synthetic part are then compared national views and the similarities and differences between nationals views are identified and interpreted.
Percepce prostoru a aplikace pocitových map na území města Milevska

The main subject-matter of the bachelor thesis are emotional maps and their application on the territory of the city Milevsko. The construction of the emotional maps and their analysis form the second part of this thesis which is preceded by the definition of possible views on the perception of space and the factors influencing perception and movement in space. Another part of the qualification work is the definition of the formation of emotional maps and the possibility of their application not only in the territory of the Czech Republic. The created emotional maps, like many others, could become the basis for the development of the monitored territory, where the general public has the potential to influence the development itself.
Relict Land Border between Bohemia and Moravia in Historic-geographical Context

This bachelor thesis focuses on the importance of relict land border between Bohemia and Moravia in the past and present. The territory of today's Czechia was divided into lands in various modifications for 1000 years. In 1949, the establishment of lands was cancelled and the functional boundary became relic. Previous evolution of the significance of the Czech- Moravian border is solved by background research, while one of its current manifestations, declaring Moravian nationality is found out by analyzing data from Census 1991 a 2001 in the area of interest consisting of the districts adjacent to the border. In addition, its course from the last year of its validity is compared with the boundaries of administrative units of the three regional divisions of today's Czechia, which followed its abolition.
