Kratochvíl, Kryštof ; Kostič, Svetislav (advisor) ; Vacek, Jaroslav (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of Persian and Arabic languages on Hindi, which is originally an Indo-Aryan language. The first part of this thesis is concerned with the historical context and conditions which led to the infiltration of foreign elements into the North Indian language area. In further parts of the thesis, the linguistic areas in which the most prominent changes occurred as a result of a long-term lingual contact are specified. The emphasis is put mainly on analyses in the field of vocabulary enrichment, especially on the adaptation of extraneous lexical units and lexical hybridisation phenomena.
