Teacher's musical skills in pre-school education

Quality music education, motivation and support from managers can affect the quality of music activities. Teachers are often discouraged due to the time-consuming and difficulties in acquiring good quality music education however, musical activities affect the overall development of a preschool child and their frequency and quality depend on the preschool teacher. When educating music in any form, the teacher encounters problems associated with the implementation of musical activities. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to draw attention to the importance of musical skills, abilities and knowledge of preschool teachers and to map the risks affecting musical activity in the educational offer in connection with the musical skills of the teacher. The research was conducted using a questionnaire survey among preschool teachers. In the evaluation of the research survey, it was found that the negative aspects of musical activity mainly affect newly qualified teachers. By gaining experience, these risks are mitigated or even lost.
