Evaluation of livestock density and botanical composition of permanenet pastures in selected farm
BÖHMOVÁ, Miroslava
In the bachelor thesis, the effect of grazing frequency, stocking rate and trampling of grazing land by cattle on a selected farm was investigated. It is based on a literature search which includes an outline of grazing systems, the representation of botanical species and agro-botanical groups, the influence of livestock on stand formation and the ecological sub-conditions affecting the composition of grazing stands. The experimental part was carried out in the South Bohemian Region in the municipality of Hracholusky-Vrbice. The experiment includes images from two cattle pastures where the experiment was conducted. The obtained data were used to evaluate the palatability of grasses and to calculate the representation of species diversity. The practical part included calculating the grazing load and the effect of grazing and trampling on the plants.
Management of permanent grasslands in relation to agri-environmental measures: Questions and answers
Gaisler, Jan ; Pavlů, Vilém ; Mládek, Jan ; Hejcman, Michal ; Pavlů, Lenka
This methodology simplified results from research project “Functional plant traits and their diversity as indicators of various permanent grassland management” for nature conservation authority. It is based on long term grassland experiments. There are important data for preparing of some agro-environmental provision in the practical part. This work summarises the results of long-term experiments with the different management treatments. It is intended especially for employers of administration of nature conservation, and also it can be used for students and pedagogues of secondary schools and universities concerning nature conservation.

The influence of fertilisation and grazing frequency on yield of fodder biomass
TVRDÍK, Adolf
In the Bohemian Forest foothills (Kaplice, Large Chuchelec, 650 m n.m.) wereselected experimental and running surface choice variants herbage managed herbal growths with different ways and frequence of pasture and level sustenance (fertilization). There was evaleated stand composition (3x yearly), maturity of fodder biomass in grazing stand (maturity dominant species), production of forage biomass. Work is focused on appreciation influences way and frequence pastoral exploitation and fertilization on production of fodder.
Methods of weed control on permanent grasslands
Mikulka, Jan ; Pavlů, Vilém ; Skuhrovec, Jiří ; Koprdová, Stanislava
This methodology includes the newest knowledge about biology, ecology, reproduction and control of weeds, growing on meadows and pastures. Recommended systems of grasslands management are described. Control of weed management contains mechanical methods, using of herbicides and as well as biological control agents on permanent grasslands.
