Hygroscopicity of Wood-Cement Composites Containing Stabilized Alternative Raw Material
Vasas, Silvestr ; Melichar, Tomáš ; Keprdová, Šárka ; Schmid, Pavel
This paper presents research on the hygroscopicity of wood-cement composites containing a by-product of cement-bonded particleboard production. The behaviour and properties of wood-cement composites were analysed with respect to variable air humidity. The intention was to assess the suitability of the alternative raw material used in terms of volumetric changes. Emphasis was also placed on the verification of basic performance properties.
Vliv konstrukce pilového kotouče na proces dělení aglomerovaných materiálů konstantní podávací silou

This thesis focuses on the influence of the number of teeth on a saw blade on the cutting process of wood chipboard and wood fiberboard. It investigates how the number of teeth affects different parameters such as cutting force and specific cutting resistance. The experiment was conducted using four similar blades with varying numbers of teeth under constant feed force. The conclusions show that the cutting force per tooth linearly increases with decreasing number of teeth on the blade, and the specific cutting resistance exponentially decreases with decreasing number of teeth. These results are consistent with the literature assumptions. To select a suitable saw blade, it is necessary to consider multiple factors.

The bachelor thesis deals with the possibility of using hemp in the furniture industry, mainly in the form of structural boards. The thesis includes the design of a simple furniture element and the determination of the degree of substitutability of classical wooden components such as particle board by hemp ones. The work includes a research of dressing tables on the market, introduction to the concepts of eco-design and sustainability, history and use, hemp familiarization with the approach to working with hemp of the companies Hempwood and Vepa, design and drawing documentation, i.e. the development of the design to the final form, model 3D visualization of the variants, design solutions, production process and testing of the boards. Conducting tests on mechanical properties of DTD and hemp boards, their comparison and evaluation. Assessment of the applicability of the material in a specific design or identification of other possible applications.
Energetické parametry při formátování aglomerovaných materiálů
Pitrman, Dobroslav
This bachelor's thesis is devoted to energy parameters while formatting agglomerated materials (MDF, Particleboard, OSB). This is primarily the effect of chip thickness on the cutting and sliding force size when cutting individual materials. During the experiment, different saw blades with different body modifications were used. The collected data were compared with the measured data and the calculated value of the average chip thickness. The dependence of the size of the cutting and sliding force on the mean chip thickness was demonstrated. As the thickness of the chip increased, so did the values of the individual forces. The effect of the machined material on the cutting force was quite significant. The internal structure of individual materials mainly influenced the cutting force. The smallest cutting force was measured with MDF and the largest with OSB. The influence of adjustment of the saw blade did not have such a significant effect on the size of the cutting force as the type of material being cut. Comparing all of the discs that had been used, the lowest cutting force measured was, on average, done by the discs with copper rivets. It was also statistically proven to be dependent on the size of the cutting force.
