This bachelor thesis provides an overview of substances which can be considered as the lubricants in its natural environment. The first part of the thesis of focused on lubricants in human body. The substances such as water, blood or synovial fluid are analysed in a detail. The following chapter deals with lubricants in everyday life. As the example, decrease of tyre adhesion in case of rain or longer breaking distance of trains as a consequence of presence of leafs on rails, can be mentioned. The last part, in addition, summarizes the lubricants which are based on natural products.
Quality of life and Physical Self in Senior Population

Title: Quality of life and Physical Self in Senior Population Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to analyze the quality of life of the elderly with respect to the place where they live and the level of physical activities performed in the past and present. Respondents are divided into those living in nursing homes and those who live in their natural environment. In particular, we want to find out whether these two groups differ in the given areas of life or not. Another criterion by which we divide and compare the respondents is the amount of physical activity in the past and present. The aim of this division is to determine the effect of physical activity on the current quality of life of the elderly. Methods: The selected means of obtaining information for our thesis was a paper questionnaire. After analyzing several questionnaires focused on quality of life, the SQUALA questionnaire was selected. We used statistical methods for nonparametric data to evaluate the results. Results: The results confirmed the relationship between physical activity and a higher level of quality of life. On the contrary, we have refuted the expectations of a better quality of life in the health dimension of seniors living at home. Social care in conjunction with home care as public interest and basic pillar of elderly care in Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the security system care services and other related services, including informal care for seniors in the Czech Republic. The aim of the work is to evaluate, describe and offer a closer understanding of nursing as a basic social care service in connection with the principle of shared care in a natural home environment for seniors as the ideal form of care for the elderly at present and due to the demographic development in the future. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part covers three main topics: day care service system in the Czech Republic, seniors as a target group of caring and sharing and municipalities and their role in caring for the elderly. The practical part is devoted to the research, which focuses on the relationship of care services and communities from the perspective of potential service users, ie. the elderly. A combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods is used in the research and interprets the results of the survey conducted among the elderly in three senior clubs in Prague 17. The research complements the findings mentioned in the theoretical part.

Analysis of the needs of seniors - users of care service of Municipal Charity České Budějovice.

This bachelor thesis deals with needs of seniors - users of care service of Municipal Charity České Budějovice. The theoretic part explains terms such as senility and aging, needs of seniors, help and care provided by the family and by the day care, as well as introduces follow-up services for the seniors. At the end of the theoretic part, legislative contexts of providing social services are specified. The empiric part analyses the needs, or services provided by the family and the care service for the users.
